May I piggy back on this thread, not least because I already know the answer to my question probably a big fat 'NO'?!

Can I stop threads from appearing in the list when I click Content I Posted In?

There are a handful which I am either no longer interested in or just don't want to see any more. It would be good to exclude them if possible- is it doable, or shall I just continue ignore them?! Cheers.

Unfortuntely not, Content I Posted in is purely that.  Content you posted in that you follow would be its own feed.  @ped is better with feeds than me because I don't use the site like that.

    Hi Mods,

I had a for sale thread for my Grado headphones in the "everything else" section but chose to "hide" it and added the message "please move to the 'other musically related' section".

The thread has been hidden but not moved - is there any way this can still be moved or do I need to start a new thread?

    regards,

    Chris

    I've moved it :)

Have you set a deadline for entries to the poll yet?  I actually agree with you on the gasoline pump idea but I have one obvious reservation.  We need more ideas folks.

This is nothing as formal as that xD

This is just a brainstorming of ideas.  Once we've got a shortlist of maybe's I'll do them up BC style before any kind of poll

In my opinion, it's not just a question of how long the note lasts (sustain), it's also a question of what it sounds like.   To my ears, basses that won't sustain a note well sound different (and worse) than ones that will.  There is less richness and interest to the note, presumably because the mechanism that is sucking out energy and shortening the note is also sucking out harmonics.

I would suspect that the higher harmonics are dying off quickly and leaving behind a somewhat dull, lifeless sound

That in BC orange would be my favourite!

What, are we American now? ;) :D

Well I was going to change the british gas icon to orange :P

I'll run a poll once we have a few suggestions!

Probably a bit more practical though: the classic warning sign xD

Keeping to the circles would actually be ideal.  Something like that we could always change to BC orange :P

  7. Most of you will have noticed the reactions at the bottom of commenting by now (thanks, like, haha etc..).  Well I think it's about time that in true BC style we have a GAS reaction.

Any nominations for a picture? (Yes... I'm well aware how bad this could go! xD )

If you want to make your own then 100px x 100px minimum although we may end up editing the nominations slightly :)

Let's see what you can dream up!
