When's the RCF landing?
Don't worry... you'll hear it

Any chance of bringing the woojer with you to LBGS?

If sounding good was a priority I don't think they would have sold a single set of NS10s
-
Not to teach anyone to suck eggs but it's worth remembering in the world of mixing that "sounding better" isn't always better

For a lot of vocalists I've worked with taking away the PA would be more of an improvement

You should try dealing with GAK!
I waited 4 months for a PA from DV247... and then the band broke up!

I have to say the 745 would be my port of call too. With me playing keys a fair bit it just makes sense

Thanks for the input - what do you think about the three roller banner idea?
Roller banners can look pretty good. How wide can you go with the one behind the drummer?

Thanks Charic, perhaps that's all it is- I've changed my password, but still see logins at those locations in the last few days!
If you've changed your password I would say that you're almost definitely being "re-routed" at some point. Could be via a work network or similar

Thanks all for the input - been great to see the different designs and solutions, even if some of those swanky stages make me feel a bit jealous compared to the spaces we squeeze into!
We've come up with an idea that we think might work well - we're probably going to get three pull up/roller banners - 2 @ 2m by 80cm and 1 @2m by 120cm. The wider one in the centre with our band name/logo and the other two framing it with Facebook details in the top corners.
We use the image below for cards and FB page and think this could work pretty well. We'll make the logo bigger and higher and have the bottom half blacked out with the crowd silhouette. - any thoughts?
We're thinking it should be pretty compact for storage and easy and quick to pop up.
Personal taste warning
For a backdrop I would look at losing the crowd, changing the background to black and the logo to white.

Thank you. I see, on opening the notifications section, that the default is to send notifications/pop-ups on every thread and that you have to disable this individually on every one if you post on it. There is no global disable option. That's a faff. Think I shall be a lot more circumspect about using this forum in future. Cheerio all.
On this screen uncheck these two boxes in that case

You have everything set to "immediate notification" on everything you follow. Which I expect is on everything you've posted in.
You'll need to change your "follow" settings : https://www.basschat.co.uk/notifications/options/?type=new_comment
And historically stuff that you've followed : https://www.basschat.co.uk/followed/
I think that should change the "pop up" but if not i'll dig a little deeper and see if there's a way to disable it for you.

Thanks Geoff, glad you like it!

If you find playing to a metronome a bit dull have a look at guitarpro or similar

@disgrace of bass it sounds like you have a few potentials!

Hi guys,
Bloody long shot! But...
Has anyone near Cambridge got a cab handy that @disgrace of bass can use to trial my amp before buying?
I managed to sell my cab first and he's in the process of buying
Sods law I tell ya!

I've missed out on two warwicks in my time, both £400. One in a shop and one here!
An FNA jazzman from here, managed to get it for £400 but then it sold on ebay unexpectedly and the seller had to honour that.
The one in a shop was a German neck-thru corvette that I had popped in and played almost daily while at uni. Managed to save up the money to buy and it was gone on the morning I went to pick it up
Just wasn't meant to be I guess!

Just stumbled across 'recently used devices'.
Lots of log-ins from 'Ballintoy Harbour, Northern Ireland, BT54, United Kingdom' and 'Barnet, Barnet, EN5, United Kingdom' and a stray one from 'Hampstead, Camden, NW3, United Kingdom'.
May be time to change my password, but what's that all about? No suspicious activity I've noticed from my account, but it does make me wonder!
Thanks, Andy
I would recommend changing your password but wonder if you've been rerouted at some point (if that's possible)

Yeah on the mail list at least.

Are we still no nearer to finding out why the ability to edit a PM has inconveniently disappeared ?
There's no fix for it I'm afraid

With the sale of my Kilo looking imminent I started looking for a woojer. Sold out outside of the US by the looks of it
Interesting FRFR story..

Maybe you can connect them with a piece of string and talk to each other like you can with bean cans?
