I think you can influence the size by using you screen zoom, although it looks like you have a pretty small screen on your phone from your screenshot?

It's a change in the forum software. Having the function there now would cause a problem.

Missed this first time around - another major manufacturer gets on the IEM train - http://mackie.com/blog/new-mp-series-professional-ear-monitors
Seem to be going up at the "budget" end. How long until they bring out a monitoring solution to match

Will do. Just snuck on at work this morning and it seems fine at the moment. Maybe my laptop is doing something in the background that I was not aware of? Sorry to have troubled you.
It's cool, I would rather have a false alarm than not know about a legitimate issue.
I'm getting the logs checked anyway but yeah it could have been a blip on your end

I seems to me that the site is slow again. I can be typing and it will take several seconds before the text actually appears. Pages are slow to load too I feel.
Strange, as far as I'm aware no maintenance was going on but I'll see what I can dig up.
Can you let me know if it still seems slow when you're back?

You seem to be suffering with a pretty bad case of GAS lately

Hard to choose really, it's between two gigs though :
Gig 1 : Cerberus Cell - Melodic Death Metal
I organised the gig, rented the venue, got the support act sorted, organised and ran the lights and PA system. It was held in what is now my home town, the crowd went absolutely NUTS! Mosh pits, walls of death and a stage invasion. I was buzzing for days! If I remember correctly @Thurbs was there
Gig 2 : Faint Lines - Indie
A small venue in Bedford, was actually the second gig of the day (the first being on the list of the worst gigs I've ever played). The band were absolutely note perfect and everyone was buzzing. People coming in off the street, paying the entry fee just to watch us. Incredible night

64 audio always been pricey - it's when they stop being 1964 ears that the problem started!
That's what I meant!

I wish I had jumped to 64audio before they got pricey

To be fair I've not tried nickels properly since my early years playing

On the subject of drop tuning to C# or C, I recommend this awesome off the peg set:
The 120 is perfect for keeping tension in the tuning which also means you get a good fundamental tone too.

Hi
My band is dipping its first tentative digits into the band merchandise maelstrom.
Has anyone had any experience with obtaining and using a card reader for the merch stand? Care to share your tips or horror stories here, coz I really haven't a clue where to start
TIA
It's not a bad idea but I think there are fees involved
-
Maybe distance came into it too?

I tend to have a song that I want to capture for my own "memories" and that's it. Maybe the odd photo

I think the only way you'll start to reduce this stuff is setting up a basic filming rig at every venue (a mounted gopro somewhere will hands down thrash any phone, although it depends on budget) and make the footage available to download to anyone with the link for 2 days following the gig. In that case I don't know why you would bother filming it yourself.

Unfortunately some of these smaller companies have to decide between comms and falling even further behind schedule. Depends what their workload is like I guess.
Something like footswitches must be an absolute killer for them!

AFAIK it's never been an option since the site update.
Hiding isn't possible now as it would allow thread originators to hide the entire topic (obviously a problem)
Editing in PMs is something I've not manage to trace back yet

There used to be an 'Options' tab where we could delete or hide posts. Can we have this back please?
It's showing in status update posts but not in regular posts.
From what I can see the option to hide your own posts also allows you to hide your own topics (and can disrupt the flow of conversations anyway)
I'm not sure when it was removed so I will ask around
