1. The 2 band you are referring to is a preamp If the pickups are in bad condition or need replacing then barts are a good choice, did you want to replace the preamp as well?
2. Iron Ether Nimbus = bass specific reverb. I have one and its fantastic. I may be selling it though due to financial difficulties
3.
I agree with the second statement, but the decoupling capacitor at the input of each buffered pedal will shave a little bit off the bottom end, and by the time this has happened several times, you can expect a significant loss of bass. Damon, once you have worked out which pedals are the worst culprits (try them in groups of 2 or 3 as well as individually), I suggest you look to true-bypass these with something like the Loopy-2 or Quartermaster from TheGigRig. I also recommend leaving the best buffered pedal connected near the front of the signal chain, as it will happily drive the next pedal or a long cable run to your amp.
I would agree if the tone suck/volume drop was minimal, however from what he is describing in such a short relative pedal chain, I think a pedal has a fault. If you believe it to be the 3 Boss pedals together causing the issue, have you tried those alone and the rest alone and see if the issue only exists in one?
4.
Hi, Thinking of changing the pick-ups in an old Warwick Streamer bass, bought from Warwickhunt. I was considering replacing the original EMGs with new Barts in the same PJ config. Perhaps adding a pre-amp? What do we think? Good or bad move? Will it trash the value? Will it have minimal effect? Thoughts and opinions please. Visog
Why do you feel the need to change?
5. Sadly nothing remotely decent is selling at the moment!
6. Boss pedals have good buffers so tone loss or volume loss would not be expected, what you are describing for the pedals you have isn't right. Laborious, but you should check each pedal individually against their bypass and the direct to amp tone, a loop switch would be best to test this for easy comparison.

Iron Ether Subterranea

So the pedals should finally be shipping on Monday, will be sure to review once it arrives!
8. Still tempted by that 'ray. If the purchase of my intended new bass doesn't happen due to delays with selling my Zoid i could well come back to this...
9. Thanks mate! Nope it isn't different, the nut is clearly cut for E-C but accommodates B-G just fine
10. Sorry mate! But thanks for the kind words
11. Not a problem I have come across on iPhone 4S or iPad 3, but I stand corrected! Ah well, hopefully he'll post and you'll get it anyway cracking price for a quality bass!

WITHDRAWN

That's looks cracking, an I usually hate ritters!
13. I can pm fine with an iPad, on mobile and desktop version???
14. Yes I have owned both and it's a significant upgrade for me, still very much the B3K tone but the Eq is really powerful. I prefer using it with active basses; only comparison I have is my W&T has a passive mode and I prefer running the b7k in active.
15. I'd sell the sansamp and the B3K and buy yourself a B7K, you wont be disappointed!
16. Very true, the bass will never work without a battery The tone with the preamp bypassed is basically the same as the preamp active and flat i have found. Can only again mirror his ^^^ comments, it can certainly get a lovely jazz tone but very much a modern one. you wont get a vintage Fender jazz sound out of a Warwick as its just not in its nature.
17. Can't say i have ever noticed either!
18. £300 is spot on for a superb bass preamp!
19. Okay, just strung the bass up with what i believe is a Daddario 130 B and it fits fine and actually the bass pulls off a pretty good B, no noticeable difference in tension from my last 5er (Warwck Streamer 34"). The string fits in the nut, not as snuggly as a smaller string but i dont feel modifications will be necessary. 20. Ah okay, knew it was 34'' but didn't know it was originally a low B And thankyou, tis indeed a lovely thing. Cash sale much preferred at the moment as I still have another bass in my sights!
21. Maybe, however there is another W&T for sale on here at the moment that was strung E-C and is now being advertised as B-G so i still think there will be room for a 130 B in that nut, but as i say i will have a look at the end of the week and take another photo In any case, i am yet to here a good solid B on anything less than 34" scale so i would probably recommend this remains at E-C.
22. I will check when i am next at home but i would think that the nut will accomodate BEADG without modification, i believe all Wood and Tronics 33 inchers are shipped EADGC unless you request otherwise as Enrico recommends it, however i have seen many a BEADG. Of course, intonation and possible truss rod adjustments would be necessary, but i doubt you would need to touch the nut But as i say, i have a .130 string at home so i shall try it on later this week! and indeed i am from sunny Leamington Spa.
23. This bass is now available again. Price of 1730 remains, or trade value of 1800. Will consider trades for 4 or 5 string basses only. These prices are STRICT.
24. This is now sold, thanks for interest
