Hi it seems to fatten the bass up - I'm not really into effects so it's a bit lost on me but it certainly gives it some punch!

3. I have the 500 and its ample for all the gigs I do - pubs, relatively big stages, outdoor festivals, etc. it's the 500 frame and I have the valve pre and classic MB eq. Great amps, if you need the solid state preamp I have one going spare!
4. I use a large keyboard bag for mine - it's a custom V with a Gibson Grabber neck so very long. I'm sure I've seen Epi V bags though - GAK?
5. Under that rusty grill is a Hurricane waiting to be nurtured
6. Yep same here I was going to have a go and then work got in the way and then....oh well...£400 extra...I think not.

Feedback for Bungie

Fantastic bass many thanks Neil! Well packed and perfectly described. Cheers
8. Bass doesn't sell at £599 so take it off at the last minute and put it back on at £400 more..... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/111507507395?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2661&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
9. Bet it's heavy!
10. Did you see the one on the Northwest Bass a Gear page? These are nice instruments this model reminds me of those Carvin basses (can't remember what the model number is but there are a couple in the for sale section). The Kawai series were high quality and did a line of Alembic inspired models. Jon ( Bassassin) may well have some info.
11. Yes I've seen those decals too! Here's some info about domestic JVs from 21 Frets - http://www.21frets.com/squier_jv/domesticjv.htm
12. There's been a few on eBay recently - many for sale from Europe, they all have JV serials and the 'made in Japan' decal at the heel. They aren't JV Squiers however but they appear to be Fender 'Japanese Vintage'. I wonder if these were 'non export' models? I've heard of non Squiers having JV serials before. The early 80's was a period where the Japanese luthiers were producing superb replicas at a very reasonable price and having the licence to produce genuine Fender logo'd products must have been fantastic for their domestic market. The very first original JV Squiers had the Fender logo with a small 'Squier' decal and 'made in Japan' on the headstock fascia. Only a few months later it was a large Squier logo with a small 'by Fender' - The JV Squiers were made for a very short period and to many regarded as the 'Pre CBS' of Japanese Fenders.

Got this in a recent deal but I don't use effects other than an ancient EH Bassballs. This is one of the Moog MF series - a more bass/guitar friendly series of pedals. This one as the name would suggest provides a variety of fat sounding boost options. It can be used with an expression pedal too apparently. It's not been gigged or played other than to test so is near mint with original box and instructions. I've got to say the construction and component quality is superb. A useful Moog US made pedal at a reasonable cost. Happy to post in the UK for a few quid extra. http://www.andertons.co.uk/compact-pedals/pid30993/cid692/moog-minifooger-boost-pedal.asp
14. What's the weight of the sunburst bass please?
15.
It doesn't matter how much money it is - that's your money. It rubs on me when people say "Ah but it was only a fiver", yeah, but it was my fiver that somebody else now has.
I agree absolutely- it's the principle! The seller has been reasonable I emailed him again today to ask if he could check again at his end.
16.
This is the problem. I encountered the same problem when I got a refund from a transaction (because delivery to NI was going to cost an extra £30!) a couple of months ago (June, I believe). It took a couple of weeks, but it did eventually come through, and all the angry emails I sent them never got a proper response from somebody (or something) that could understand what I was actually saying. Just automated responses which made promises of a proper response, but none was ever forthcoming. I suppose what I'm saying is sit tight and hope they make good on their refund. Then resolve to avoid it like a plague.
Thanks that's reassuring. It's not a great deal of money but I was rather angry at the seller who sold me a cosmetically damaged amp and then more or less accused me of lying about the issue. It's an eBay item of course but the window of opportunity for any resolution is rapidly approaching so I'm worrying in case the refund 'bounces', the seller says 'tough luck' and eBay says its outside their return policy time limitations. Hopefully that won't happen.
17. Cheers for the support everyone I'm going to have to investigate this further but I will certainly make a formal complaint. I'll let you know if I get any outcome or if the money actually clears!
18. I don't think it's gone to my bank account as it was a partial refund and I paid from my PayPal balance. I haven't used the account subsequently because I prefer to use PayPal as a 'float' so I don't use my bank account directly - that's because I've never really trusted them! Still trying to find a working phone number for them too - like many modern companies they pontificate about customer service and transparent working practices but remain as opaque as a pint of Guinness and as user friendly as an iPad with no screen.
19. Yes those three dreaded little Ps again! This time I've been waiting far too long for a partial refund to plonk into my account. Refunded on the 20th Oct - seller sends an email informing me its been refunded and left his account. I get an email from PayPal saying the refund has taken place. I check my account balance - it's at zero - I check the payment details for said refund 'Pending until Oct 27th. Ok a week fair enough....however I'm still waiting! Have contacted seller who sent a screenshot of the transaction details at his end I contacted PayPal three times by email to get automated emails that said nothing of relevance. Today I tried ringing several of their provided numbers and guess what? 'The number you have dialled has not been recognised' ....???!!! So then I tried to send an email complaint but it didn't let me sign the declaration at the end and kept sending me into an endless loop of redirected pages. I gave up. Any ideas or similar experiences?

There's an awful lot of nice P basses up for sale at the moment but here goes.... This is my early JV Squier Precision bass - for those not in the know these are very special basses indeed and were made to the original specs of the Fender Pre CBS basses. This has the serial JV followed by five digits beginning number 2 making it late Oct 1982- January 83. It comes with the case it was originally purchased with and both are in excellent cosmetic and working condition. All hardware works as it should and the neck is straight with plenty of life in the frets and a working trussrod. The bass is light at just over 8lbs and balances well on a strap. The original pickup sounds just like a vintage P should and its currently strung with old mellow roundwounds. The original sunburst finish is in excellent condition with no chips or major scratches, there are some small blemishes consumate with age but only minor dings. The neck is lovely and clean with only a small scratch on the front of the headstock. All hardware is original however the scratchplate is an old replacement. The case has had a new handle fitted at some point. The bass plays and sounds superb and Ive not seen a sunburst one in such good condition. http://www.21frets.com
