You might be better off using a decent set of studio headphones, rather than studio monitors? That way you get decent sound reproduction at a lower cost than having to shell out for quality studio monitors and a subwoofer. That said, I bought some low/mid-range (i.e. cheap) full range active studio monitors and I can hear the bass just fine through them without any need for a sub etc.

Schalltechnik_04 Vong Filterung adjustable HPF/LPF pedal. Bought off here, haven't really got round to using, so surplus to requirements! Built by @LukeFRC: Quite a handy thing - switchable HPF and LPF (with frequency sweep), and volume/boost control and DI with ground lift. Technical info here: https://schalltechnik04.de/en/instructions/vong-filterung Selling for what I paid, which is £75 posted.

Digitech Whammy Ricochet pedal for sale. I've gone HX Stomp so this is surplus to requirements. It comes with box etc but no PSU. It was sold to me as having had the footswitch replaced. It's occasionally a bit sticky - you may need once in a while to trigger it a couple of times to get it to release. Otherwise works fine - hence low price. £70 posted.

There's an article here about modding one so you can add an external cab at the same time (I know that's not exactly what you're asking) but that seems to suggest it can run a 4ohm load so I don't see why you couldn't do as you suggest - but the mods might make it more useable all-round: https://www.premierguitar.com/gear/ask-amp-man-modding-a-pro-junior-for-an-extension-cab

Changing Pots on a Semi - Any Tips or Hacks?
Jakester replied to Obrienp's topic in Repairs and Technical
Ah, this explains why a guitar tech mate of mine had a large bag of surgical tubing in his shop. I was getting a little worried.... -

I think if it’s just for vocals, and the singer is pushing for it, I’d say it’s up to them. I’ve generally supplied PA for bands I’ve been in simply because I’ve been the only one interested enough in figuring out what we need and how it works! Does mean I need to bring a lot more stuff to gigs (particularly when I’m doing drums!) so it’s getting a bit tiresome now…

You mean for mounting things into the rack case? If so, any standard rack screws etc will work. I bought a load off Amazon or eBay (can’t remember which).

A follow on to an earlier thread where I inquired about estimating the power needs for amps and PA for use with a borrowed portable battery, I've now been told that 'we're going to give it a go' with our (i.e. read my) usual PA and amps etc. I'm a little nervous about putting all of my fairly expensive equipment in the hands of someone who doesn't really know anything about the portable battery we're going to be using. My main concern is obviously the risk of damage to my amp and PA equipment. Could an inadequate power supply cause damage to a class D head and modern PA speakers and a digital mixer? By inadequate I mean it can't supply the level of power needed i.e. it runs out/down whilst in use.

GR Bass Mini One 'micro' amp for sale. Excellent little amp - 170w at 8ohm, 350w at 4ohm, with three-band EQ, aux in and headphone out (for silent practice), decent DI - basically everything from a 'big' amp in a small package. Like a slightly more grown-up TE Elf or Warwick Gnome - only slightly larger. I used this as a backup to my dodgy Mark Bass combo amp - the size meant it was no effort to bring it along with my other stuff. It's only really been used a few times as I ended up with a Little Mark III replacement head for the combo. There's really no point in my leaving this sitting on a shelf not being used. Include original box/papers and IEC cable. Also includes GR Bass official carry bag (£50 on its own). Try this out with a lightweight cab and you're in for a portable treat!

Don't know about 'any', but certainly the LM-sized ones can - so if it's on the same chassis, it should be fine. Looks like the dimensions are the same for both: https://www.markbass.it/product/little-mark-tube-800/ https://www.markbass.it/product/little-mark-iii/ You may need to remove the 'lid' of the LMT and install the 'holders' from the CH2 but it should work. -
I mean you can have them - gratis, free etc

I have some DB strings that I bought ages ago when there was a PSA for super-cheap no-name strings. Never fitted them, not sure if they're the right length or indeed any good whatsoever - but they're yours if you want them! (What a sales pitch, eh?)

Just to circle back to this, had the gig last night and @EBS_freak’s suggestion worked perfectly. Set my digital desk to just passthrough each input pre-everything - and because that was only 5 inputs, I could send via the mono auxes straight out into the FOH desk, give them a stereo out of the drums (I was playing) and also send a separate feed for the other band member who used IEMs because he only wanted snare from the kit. (Though at help time he asked for more of everything else too). Excellent result and I didn’t need to buy any more kit!

Edit: going to withdraw this for now as no interest and have sold my other backup amp. For sale: Mark Bass CMD121P, NY121 extension cab and/or LMIII amp head. Only the Little Mark III head is still for sale! £250 + £15 postage. So: I bought a Mark Bass CMD121P combo from someone (who shall remain nameless) off here in 2019, and also a NY121 extension cab off someone else at the same time. Unfortunately the Combo II head developed an intermittent fault with it cutting out, or volume dropping every so often. Interestingly the seller never replied to my messages about it.... It is not a 'regular' fault - it wouldn't happen every time it was used, more like once every 2 - 3 times - but just enough that I ended up carrying a spare amp head with me just in case. Sometimes the volume dropped really low; other times it would cut out entirely. It wasn't predictable which one it would be. I sent it to Real Electronics who said there was nothing wrong with it, but replaced all the pots and charged me £180 for the privilege (thread here): In the end I gave up with sending it back to Real only for them to charge me an arm and a leg again, so I bought a second-hand LMIII head and dropped it into the combo chassis. It's been absolutely fine since then. The Combo Head II ended up on a shelf. However, I've ended up with a pair of Barefaced One10s and a different head, so the MB stuff is now surplus to requirements. So, I am selling the following: CMD121P 1x12" combo - SOLD NY121 1x12" cab - SOLD Little Mark III head I have taken the LMIII out of the combo and reinstalled the Combo Head II. Ideally, I would like the lot to go as one (and I can reinstall the LMIII for anyone that wants it). The combo has a Hotcovers padded cover. The NY121 has a Roqsolid dust cover. I've unplugged the tweeter in the combo (a common mod) but I can reconnect it if you wanted. I'm thinking the following pricing: If you wanted the CMD121P with the LMIII head reinstalled (and the Combo Head II thrown in) - £450 If you wanted the lot: CMD121P + LMIII + NY121 cab - £700 If you wanted each bit separately: CMD121P w/Combo Head II (i.e. the original head with an intermittent fault) - £SOLD (so basically a 1x12" cab with a free head thrown in) NY121 cab - £SOLD LMIII head - £250 + £15 postage I'll include a Speakon to jack with a female to female adaptor so any head can be used with the CMD121P as a 'normal' cab (it has a male jack wired into the speaker for use with the Combo Head II). I very much want to sell it all together so happy to consider reasonable offers for the lot. if someone takes the combo and cab but doesn't want the amp, happy to sell that separately but not until the other stuff has gone. Edit: I've some interest for each item separately, so it sounds like that may be the best way to go, so happy to consider offers for each part separately. Collection only in Bath or surrounds - happy to meet reasonably locally (Bristol, M4ish etc). Not really looking for trades ATM other than a Helix Stomp as PX against this stuff. With finger (not included) Why couldn't he have stuck the sticker on the rear panel!! Oh, another finger. CABLE NOT AVAILABLE
