1. Hi, I have the above that I have used for two years. It's a great little amp and has had NO problems whatsoever. There are the usual wear and tear spots on the carpet covering, plus the "enhance" knob crackles slightly when turned. It's 300 watts total output when hooked up to an 8 ohm cab, or 150 watts on it's own. I had to get rid of my car recently, and trying to get this amp to gigs without transport it a pain in the bum. It weighs about 25kg which has never bothered me before, but for gigs in town I want an amp that I can carry there without my arms feeling like they're going to drop off. Also, I would like a 1x15 speaker instead of the 2x10 as it makes my bass sound warmer. SO, I'm looking for a trade for a 1x15 combo of at least 150 watts, that weighs less than 20kg (or 45lbs). Cheers. Pictures: http://photobucket.c...tt-bass-sparkes

3. I have for sale an old-skool Carlsbro Scorpion bass combo amp. I believe this model was made during the late eighties. The bass control knob crackles a little when being turned, but doesn't crackle when it's not being moved ie. when you are playing. This amp is best suited to bedroom practice, or a small rehersal as when you crank it up, it tends to distort and "fart" a little as most small bass amps do. But it sounds nice and rounded at lower volumes. It has bass and treble knobs, and a direct inject and headphone jacks. There is a small tear in the cover mesh on the front, but the speaker is undamaged. I live in Brighton, so pick up only really. £40
4. I recorded this about a week ago. Agency is www.brightonguitaracademy.co.uk I'm under the bass section obviously. A few tiny scuffs in the video, but overall I'm happy with it. We made the backing track ourselves. I'm using my 1976 Aria RE550 bass straight into Logic with an "American 70's amp" effect on it.
5. All about preference and a bit of luck really! I've been playing for 14 years, and my first "proper" bass that I saved up for was a Mexican Jazz bass. At the time, I had no idea that there were Mexican, Japanese, USA ect.. made basses....I just saw "Fender" and bought it! I sold that bass a while ago, but in hindsight, that was BY FAR the best bass that I have ever owned. I wore it in very well, to the point where the back of the neck looked proper vintage...(just my battery-acid sweat!). But yea, basically, don't have the pre-conceived idea that USA's will be loads better than Mexican ones...just go out and try them until you find one that feels good in your hands, and sounds good to your ears.
6. I used to have a 1977 Gibson G-3...I want it back

8. I reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally want this...! Would you trade for a 1976 Aria RE550? (Rick 4001 copy)..??
9. The above for sale.... Obviously I know it's not a true bass pedal, but some of the settings sound surprisingly good All patches/sounds are working. There are a few small scuffs around the casing mainly on the sides, but no cracks. Ask your guitarist if they're interested. £20. (£2 postage). I live in Brighton, so you could collect. If not, I prefer internet banking as payment as there are no fees involved, and it's instantaneous. My ebay ID is matt_s_26 if you want to check my 100% feedback.
10. Actually I need to completely sell it to raise funds unfortunately So no swap now.
11. Stagg bass guitar hard case. The case has a few small scuffs on it from use, but nothing hideous. There is a very slight alignment issue around the back edge when closing the case, but give it a nudge and once it's closed, it's fine. I have included the 2 locking keys too. Outer measurements are 125cm x 38cm Inner measurments are 123 x 36cm (Body compartment: 57x36cm) £30 I live in Brighton, so pick up would be preferred. My eBay ID is matt_s_26 if you want to check my 100% feedback
12. Paid for a Sansamp VT pedal straight away by bank transfer. Very good, many thanks!!

The Aria RE550 bass was pretty much a direct copy of the famed Ric 4001 model. I am assuming the pickup is original...I have no reason to doubt it, and here is a link to the original Aria page from the 70's: http://www.matsumoku...nd_pg2.jpg.html I made a couple of recordings of the pickup which you can hear: http://snd.sc/vHEqCH The first riff is with tone pot all the way, and then there is a pause, and the second riff is with the tone pot rolled off. I'm selling the pickup as I use the bridge pickup exclusively, and I would like to put in a more trebly one at the neck. The back springs are included, but unfortunately the heads of the fitting screws were too rusty to use again. Also, one of the small screws that holds the pickup onto the plate is missing, but this isn't really a problem at all. £30 with £2 postage. PM me as I won't check this post too often.
14. The above for sale. Sounds FANTASTIC with my Ric copy. Working absolutely fine. A few tiny scuffs on the top. There is some Velcro glued to the bottom fr a pedal board. Some of the glue had seeped out and it looks a bit messy, but obviously not visible when on a pedal board lol. £120 . £4 postage or pick up from Brighton. *******************SOLD*************
15.
Beware of guitar tutors who decide they can branch out to bass because "it's practically the same"...
Yea I get so pissed off with those arrogant guitarists who think that bass playing is somehow "inferior".
