1. I have been in a professional covers band for over 2 years now. I can learn songs very quickly... But I would love to spend the first few months of next year playing bass at a ski resort somewhere in Europe. There are not many wedding gigs during January-March, and I would love to spend that time continuing to play at a ski resort. BUT...how on earth do I go about getting on to this? If any of you out there have any tips, or have done it before, please let me know! Cheers.
 2. Hi. I have a black Precision bass for sale. The bass itself is NOT a real Fender. I have added a 1960's style decal to the headstock, and lightly lacquered over it. It's really chunky, and feels really very good for a Precision copy. There is a lot of weight in it, and the neck has a nice manly radius. The body had a few dings in it when I got it, so I decided that I was going to make it into a relic project. I have made the bass look older by some light sanding, taking some chips out of the lacquer, and by spraying the pickguard with tinted lacquer. The neck is a 2 piece (what seems to be maple), but because it's not a real Fender, I'm not sure what else it might be. The wood is a lovely orangey natural colour, that goes well with the desired "aged" look. The nut and the frets protrude from the neck a tiny bit more than I would like, but I guess this could be corrected. The pickups sound pretty beefy, and there is definitely a nice range in tone. Alternatively, replacement pickups would fit this bass fine. I'm not trying to say that this bass is amazing, but it certainly looks cool, and could be further worked on as a project. I used it in an amateur production of We Will Rock You last month, and it sounded great with my pressure-wound strings, and a bit of welly from my VT pedal. ***MORE PHOTOS AT http://photobucket.com/matt-bass-sparkes *** £120 OVNO.

For some reason, it's saying that the attachment space is used up for photos...but I haven't uploaded any yet...so I'll figure that out £170 (plus £15 if you want it posted. I live in Brighton.)

 9.
Can I come back when you've finished the sanding?
I won't be finishing the sanding...that's why I'm selling, so I can concentrate on my P-bass project
 10. The bass was originally a 2001 Indonesian Squier Standard Jazz bass. The original colour is a dull metallic green. I have sanded one half of the body down by hand. The halfway point is a bit sketchy, but you can easily sand this yourself, or put some sort of binding on it. The back of the body has been sanded a bit, but not finished, so it looks a but rough. There is also a screw hole in the back where I had another strap knob. I sanded the Squier logo and serial number off the headstock with a view to putting on a Fender decal, but I never got that far. The electronics are all new... The pots are all 250k pots from Stewie Macc, and the electric plate is a black chrome plate. I soldered the electronics myself. There is a Seymour Duncan SJB-1 Vintage Pickup in the neck position, and a Seymour Duncan SJB-3 Quarter Pounder in the bridge position. The pickups have been in there 2 months. I will send the plastic boxes that these came in. The neck is straight and feels nice to play. This bass sounds aaaaaaaaaamazing...the pickups really work well with this body. I believe the body is made from Agathis wood. I'm only selling because I am concentrating more on my P-bass project, and need to raise some funds. 11. I have two Fender Stratocaster decals (slightly differing in colour), and a sheet of smaller decals "Contour Body" ect... These are pretty good decals...I have put a Precision one on my bass and it looks sweet. £15 posted.
 12. I have my old Electro Harmonix Bass Big Muff Pi distortion pedal for sale This pedal sounds PHAT!! The best thing about it is that it has a bass boost switch, so for times when you need crunchy distortion bass, but with more balls, this is very effective. There are 3 marks that were made with a permanent marker to indicate some settings, and I can't rub them off I'm afraid...you may be able to find a way. Also, I have been a total idiot and have lost all of the screws that hold the back plate on, so for now, you will have to keep it on with tape...(if it's going to stay in a pedal board, then this isn't really a problem). But again, you will probably be able to pick some screws up from somewhere. It will work with any normal pedal-board 9volt power supply, or a 9v battery. (Optical illusion in the photo...it looks like the back plate is smaller, but it's not lol!) Overall, the pedal works absolutely fine. I'm only selling because I have just bought a Sansamp VT pedal. £35 + £3 postage. I live in Brighton, so if you wanna pick it up, let me know.
