  3. Hi all, I have an as new boxed and unopened Allen & Heath QU6 for sale. Bought last year for a project which never took off. These are amazing desks, perfect for FOH duties/full band/recording studio. Collection preferred as quite large. £2000 ovno https://www.allen-heath.com/hardware/qu/qu-6-qu-6d/
  4. Enjoyed this! Nice sound and mix for sure. That bass sounds meaty!
  5. Hi all I just released my new song which I recorded and mixed at home called 'my stupid brain' if anyone wants to dip in for a listen. https://instantdismissal.bandcamp.com/track/my-stupid-brain Cheers, Tim
  6. Sean mate what's happening 👍 Yes my Spector went a while back. A pbass pretty much does what I need, although I would like a matching jazz or a pj. I have a couple of fenders which tick the boxes, a rosewood oly white 1996 and a black on maple 2004. I can get most of what I need from them. Something about a pbass just does it for me.
  7. Cheers Ped will take a look at the Eich
  8. Hi all Been a while since I used an amplifier. Sold my matamp rig a couple years ago and generally play unplugged or straight into my daw via di. Not gigging these days life is pretty busy, however I would still like to be able to chuck a combo on the car if need be, or have the option of recording a decent bass sound at home with a mic. Part of me is hankering for a combo set up for my pbasses, something I can use at home. I generally like to play everything from hip hop through to modern rock. Is it even worth getting an amp these days, or would a high quality di and preamp do the job better. What's out there these days? I like to use compressors/overdrives and/or fuzz pedals going in.
  9. Thanks for that. Yes I've read it was just a standard before, it does indeed have the sticker on the rear of the headstock. A previous owner has fitted a badass bridge to it, been wondering whether to reverse the mod.
  10. Cheers mate, I'm just eager to find out the specifics of this particular bass I guess. Cracking bass regardless
  11. Hi all I have a couple of pbasses which I use for everything these days. A 2004 black on maple and a 1996 oly white with rosewood. I believe it is one of the 50th anniversary models of that time. I bought it off someone on here years ago and I can't for the life of me remember who. Just wondering really, as they sound quite different, what is the 96 based on model wise? What pickups are in them etc? The neck is pretty chunky and it has a much darker round tone than the maple 2004. Cheers Tim
  12. Lovely and A strings is just around the corner from me. Cracking shop
  13. This is my old squeeze, I am the original owner and it was my only bass for many many years. I owned this from new and believe me, if I could afford to, I'd have this back in a dash. Classic Spector sound with the IMO best looking finish and the woods are settled in perfectly.
  14. Lovely sound on that combo with a pb
  15. Not going to argue with that! They are incredible beasts. Slinky, smooth, highly playable and great sounding. Whenever I pick it up I wonder if I'm mad for selling it.
  16. Hi all Here is my latest song, recorded and mixed in my spare bedroom. I guess lyrically it's about the complexities of life and the changing of perspectives between being a youngster and an adult. I hope someone out there likes it Listen to Falling From The Sky by INSTANT DISMISSAL on #SoundCloud https://soundcloud.app.goo.gl/EwKyg Or https://instantdismissal.bandcamp.com/track/falling-from-the-sky ATB Tim
  17. Thanks. Yeah I'm aware it's crazy prices to import stuff now due to 'brexit'.....good luck with your search for a nice Spector 👍👍
  18. I'm afraid I have no idea of the costs, UK sale preferred I guess, wouldn't want to risk sending this outside of the country.
  19. To be honest it plays like butter and it has that Spector growl in spades. Played it this morning and had a 'Am I crazy to sell this' moment! Haha
  20. Bump for a couple of new photos
  21. The tribe doesn't sound so scooped and has a nice full mid range presence. On the flip side to that the fender has a warmer and fuller bottom.
  22. Hi all My latest song is up on my bandcamp page if anyone wants to dip in for a listen http://instantdismissal.bandcamp.com/track/crash-burn
