Thanks man, yes I've got some nice monitors and panels and traps installed inside the house now, so it will be nice to free up space inside and take my studio outside to a different space. This is amazing, I am sort of on the same path. At the moment I record and mix everything inside my house. I realised the other day that I could possibly do up and use the concrete garage we have here with a bit of TLC or even knock it down completely and start again with a completely new build. Can I ask what the dimensions of the building are going to be roughly please? My garage is currently 6m long x 3m wide internally, if I knock it down and start again I could rebuild to 10m x 3.5m. Ive spoke to a few studio design companies and they all said it's too small for purpose in terms of mixing and tracking. Wondering whether to stiff upper lip it and press on anyway, given the room I mix in indoors isn't an ideal size either and I'm getting good results. Definitely interested in the budget aspect of this and the sizes you've got. PS I've got a pug as well haha, she's 6 now and completely bonkers Cheers man Tim

The band is flat out metal and though I've always used my Spector in metal bands in the past, I may give my fender a look in this time round. Thanks again

Morning all, It's been a while since I delved this low tuning wise on a 4 string bass. In fact it's been a while since I played bass regularly due to life etc. I'm now working on a remote project with old friends whereby the music requires this set up. I've never been a 5 string bass guy so my question is this: 'Recommend a set of strings for a 4 string bass to achieve a good tight sounding drop C set up' Instrument wise I have two US PB and a Euro LX Spector. I used to use this set up 16 or 17 years ago and now I find myself coming full circle, such is the way. However I've been so entrenched in standard tuning since then i can't remember how I set up exactly gauge wise etc. TIA Tim

The tx is an awesome pedal. Stunning sound and tweakability. I set mine between 4-8:1 release at around 3pm and attack to taste depending on what you want. My input is around 10oclock and the output around 2oclock. With a pbass and rounds.

Hi all, Just after a bit of advice really. I bought the aforementioned guitar from this very forum during 2010. It was bought by a member here and totally unused, and I bought it from him for £600 with the case so it is still in as new condition. I'm a terrible guitar player and it has been sat in it's case since then. It's the dual coil tap humbucker version, in natural finish with brass nut and black scratch plate. Any comments or ideas are welcome as i would like to put it up for sale soon to help with costs of the recent newborn in my life (and to free up some much needed space). Cheers Tim

Beastly things aren't they. I always smash an sft into the front end just for a bit more articulation and poke. I've got an album coming out soon which I used mine on. Just had the test presses back from the vinyl plant, sounds awesome. If I had the cash I'd have a full backup rig as well ✌️

How you getting on with the amp? Is that the mark 2 gt200? I've got a mk1 they are just phenomenal. Such great amps ✌️

Funnily enough, my right ear is playing up right now. I'm putting warm olive oil in to soften any wax buildup, and am hoping to book a gp appointment next week to get it removed. The key thing is not to panic, which is sometimes easier said than done. Def get a referral to ENT though 👍
