Dude why didn't you say so? All you've got to do is adjust the harmonic resonance chamber which should stabilise the Omega molecule. The chamber will then emit an inverse frequency to dissolve Omega's interatomic bonds and Bob's yer auntie the Dilithium crystals will be back on line. Next.

what you guys think of this jazz?

E string's kinda close to the edge IYAM. -
Except House coz he's real. Isn't he? I meant there just has to be a city in America where they see bubonic plague and Lupus on a daily basis. Actually I do like House.
OK Mates rates are a bit different. I'd bet if I phoned them for a little FoH + Monitors PA for a night it would be closer to £150
Yeah there is a wee bit of "not what you know but who you know" sometimes (especially with the "if you get it back to us tonight" deal) but I'm pretty sure the ~£50 charge would work for just about anyone although we're not talking monitors here - all we've hired before are 2 speakers/stands, desk/amp and 2 vocal mics + 1 kick mic. I don't think we've hired out of town yet (we just load a van) so perhaps rates vary a lot depending on location.

Kind of nice (for a red bass ). Might just be the pics but that looks like one helluva thin neck like.
£50? What do you get for that?
Dunno, is the simple answer. We hire from our mates down at our practice rooms, tell them the size of the gig and they give us whatever they think is best. I've seen them take £20 off us before, as long as it's back the same night. Does the job.
And i aint a forensic psychologist
Well that's no excuse, the guys on CSI seem to have every angle covered. (except when they seem to have to explain the simplest of techniques to a colleague in layman's terms at least once an episode. Oh and why do they alway search crime scenes with torches in the middle of the day "Just open the curtains or SWITCH THE FECKING LIGHT ON")

Oh please do. ... but not just about the bad copying I want to know about the ink and a psych profile on the perp would be splendid.
-
Hmmm I don't think that's actually Gene's sig. It kinda looks like someone has tried to copy this . (notice the CC direction of the dot on the i) When in fact it is probably more like this. I could be way wrong though.
I think..I think I might just understand something technical now! Does that PA system usualy belong to the band or the venue then? Thanks..
More often than not the venue will have that covered but bands who have their sh*t together will probably have their own PA too - if not you can always hire one for the night for about £50.
-
So at a largeish gig, if I see a big wall of speakers about 8ft high and a long way across, are they PA's?
Kind of but the PA encompasses the mixing desk and amplification for the speakers too. And it need only be a couple of speakers at that.
Ha... yeh. Me and 'er indoors have been "together" for about 12/13 years too but she loves to tell people that we have known each other since she was 14!! This is technically true, but not in the way she is implying Really
Yeah right. Why do they do that though? I met mine when she was 18. A few days after we "got together" she told me she was actually 15. I SHAT! She kept the windup going until I was able to check with one of her mates. -
It's probably because I act to mature though.
I think that's my problem like. I act like a feckin' goon most of the time. -
Hey... but I'm 44... I only look 41 though :-) I have cradle snatching previous though - my wife's just a youngster at 34
Bit like me then. I'm 42 on Friday (not sure how the feck that happened ) and my missus has just turned 30. Been together for 12 years now. Everyone pegs me for about 30ish (< pic taken 2 weeks ago) can't say the same for her though. Time for a newer model I think. -

Looks like it's had a pretty hard life. Needs a lot of TLC to be right again
And how about this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Ultra-Rare-60s-70s-Y...A1%7C240%3A1318
I never seen one of these before. Quite nice in a toilet seat kind of way. I know a fellow BCer, keen on short scales and lives round the corner from me who would love this. -
Don't get it either, surely all you have to do is put a new head on it. It won't be blowing up after that.

lol As for the dude remaining calm. Years ago I had fisty-cuffs with a bloke, he was way bigger than me (I'm 6'2" and I remember reaching up to connect) he took a couple of my best efforts then ran off rubbing his sore face. Afterwards I wondered why he never even tried to hit me back. I was later told that he was a Karate expert and wasn't allowed to street fight or he'd lose his licence or whatever. I don't know if that's true or not (sounds like crap now *shrugs*) but it might explain the dude in the vid's self control.
