  1. As an occasional player on DB (some studio work) and therefore a newbie, I've been a bit gobsmacked when sourcing a new set of strings. I notice Corelli are almost half the price of Spirocore for example. Any players on here that can shed some knowledge from their time using these strings? 🤔
  2. I play lefty instruments strung righty or righty instruments upside down. Seems normal to me 🤪
  3. Warwick Thumb BO4 (2000) Has neck damage. Worth a punt? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/176371984717?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=2VQ2Q47xSV2&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=htqb-a2hQ7e&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  4. 1979 Kramer DMZ4001. Never seen one before. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/145737467446?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=k5dOeruMRz2&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=htqb-a2hQ7e&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  5. I owned a 1968 EBO with slotted headstock. I used it exclusively for years as it really suited my playing and style. The tone knob basically did nothing but I loved the deep heavy bass. Neck was a joy to play once I had it set up properly. Ended up settling like so many others, on a P bass.
  6. Surprised no one has made the London bus joke yet 😁
  7. Ooh...er! 🤩
  8. Spotted a new Reel for the Sting 3.0 Tour on Instagram. The new bass still hard to make out with the fast editing. https://www.instagram.com/reel/C4ibECLs890/?igsh=MW4xbWFxOTk4bXdvOA==
  9. I had the VR micro stack and regret moving it on. This looks just as sweet though. 😎
  10. I had two custom made pickguards made for my lefty Squier 32" Scale mij p bass. Fantastic workmanship and great to deal with. They even made a wood template of my guard so I don't have to resend mine if want any further orders. Would absolutely recommend.
  11. Sweet. Can you still get the teacup controls that were on these basses originally? 😎
  12. For someone with a dedicated rehearsal room or performance space this ticks all the boxes.
  13. These are lovely to play. I tried a few in the range when they first came out but being a lefty i prefer symmetrical basses if I'm flipping them upside down. Did borrow one with flats for recording a couple times. 😎
  14. Nice Aria Pro ii SB700 mij https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/395292288584?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=ojwLfi25T-W&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media
  15. If I were rich I would snap this up even just to have on display as a wonderful piece of bass history.
  16. This paired with a Fender 500 head would be so sweet. 😎
  17. He seems pleased with it.
  18. Spotted the clip on X.
  19. Here you are https://www.instagram.com/theofficialsting?igsh=MTlpcTk3YTlzejYzYw==
  20. Again another blurry image of the headstock. Can't see a Fender decal in this one so maybe a one-off by a luthier?
  21. Saw a little trailer for the upcoming Sting 3.0 tour and grabbed a screenshot showing Sting using what looks like a new custom Fender. I'm not familiar with him playing this before as usually been his beat up '54 P for years now. This one doesn't look like a vintage P with humbucker but something maybe made to order. I'll leave it to the Fender experts to fill in the details. 😄
  22. Very nice 😎. Liking the side carry handles.
