1.
I've sold a few items this year and bought a few basses. Please post if you're happy with the way the deals were conducted. Thanks, Frank
I bought a MarkBass head off of Frank a while ago, for a very reasonable price he kept me well informed throughout, and posted it immeadiately the cheque cleared. Excellent amp too. Oh, and I reckon he must have shares in bubblewrap, 'cos it was packed superbly
2. Sure is a beaut! How's the B string on this?
3. You want versatile? Check out AC Guitars. Alan is now doing a Jazz type bass which can be fitted with his filter based pre-amp, which is Extremely Versatile (sound samples on the website). With so much choice over the woods and finish, it doesn't have to look like a piece of furniture, and the quality is top notch at very reasonable prices

5. Down to £200 plus shipping, for what is to all intents and purposes a brand new instrument, Baaaaargain!! I dont want to have to bung it up in the attic, or worse - ebay it I'm getting grief 'cos its in the way!!
6. Gonna bump this up, its sitting in its box waiting to get some use!!
7. I was never a great Wham fan, but looking back, Deon Estus provided some cool lines
8. Anyone know a dealer who stocks THESE? I wouldn't mind trying one but cant find a dealer who stocks them, or has a price. They've all got the drum cases
9.
Good price on this - had the 4 string version and is well worth the cash.
You are a man of good taste, sir!
10. Hey Peter, I fondled your Harlots' body when I collected my Recurve from Alan recently! I was taken aback by how light it was and I have to say, the pictures do not do it justice! (no reflection on Alans photography ) I've had mine about a month now and i'm still finding new sounds from the preamp, they really are something special. 12. Bought as a back-up while my ACG was being constructed, this is now surplus to my requirements. Its been kept in the box and taken to gigs for the past 6 months or so but never been needed. Consequently its unmarked. I've used it at rehearsal a handful of times and its a really good little bass. excellent value for the money. I want £200 for it . I really dont trust parcel firms or couriers (from experience) but I will ship it in its original box provided the buyer pays for postage.
13.
My long awaited neck from Warmoth is ready, should be here in about two weeks Should be nice rosewood with Ziricote fingerboard and gold frets. Do you builders out there have any tips when it comes to fitting necks to the body, my plan is to check the fit, drill an extra hole and fit it with one central screw ( which will be hidden by the neck plate) my thinking behind this is that i will be able to lightly string it up and check the alignment before committing to drilling for the neck screws proper. Is my plan of attack right or am i being too cautious or missing something important?
Steve, I would suggest if you're not entirely sure about it, its best to get a pro to fit it - after the long wait and expense, you'd kick yourself if you f*cked it up. Thats what I'd do but of course your ability/experience is likely to be superior to mine!
14. Have a look at these http://www.hardcase.com/guitar_cases.htm
15.
Strange thing about Herbie Flowers is.... his name is very familiar to me, as I've heard him mentioned for years. But I have no idea who he is, or what he's done . The photo on that ad gives me a first impression of him I could do without lol Nick.
For all the excellent work he's done read about it here he's probably best known for writing Clive Dunns' "Grandad". Go figure
