    I've used Martin's pickups in a couple of projects. As @Russ says, Martin is very helpful and basically build you custom pickups if that's what you need.

      FYI, I see them not; presumably they've gone.

      I had one new in the 80s; it wasn't a bad intermediate bass, but I replaced it with a real Status Graphite which was just at another level.

      £700 seems a lot for one of those; presumably the shape adds a few hundred to the perceived value.

    First time I've seen one...we live and learn.

    Can't remember when I last bought a bass from a shop. I'm a terrible impulse buyer so it's "see it, want it, buy it.." Not recommended technique...means that you go through a lot of instruments.
