1. Recently I started playing bass again after a bit of a break, (playing a but more guitar and trying to get into uni) and when I did I started getting pain in the tendony bits of my wrist below the palm. It gets worse the longer I play, so I've had to switch to playing with a pick. Anyone has this? Thanks
2. So much want Tried one of these out, great feel and the woods look amazing in person. Damn my puny student budget
3. Hey guys, first post in a while. Whilst browsing the interwebs, I found this deal on thomann, http://www.thomann.d..._200_bundle.htm It looks like a fantastic price, the general opinion of these amps seems very high, it will be replacing my trusty little marshal combo, and cant realy try one out. How would you guys describe the tone of the amp?
4. Ive been saving up for a new bass to offer up different tonal variety to my ibanez, Im now pretty sure that I want a jazz bass. I dont realy like the MIM jazz range, I Realy want a maple fretboard, prefferably with blocks. I've looked at the Marcus miller jazz, and the Geddy lee. Both verry nice, but Pehaps too expensive. Theres also the VM squier jazz, very nice looks, but I m sceptical on thje build quality. Oh and I want an active jazz, so I would put a preamp in whichever one I buy Any Idea's?
5. I think the jazz would be lovely with a black pickguard, although at that price you could get one custom made to your specifications.
6. I think this is new http://www2.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/Bass/Gibson-USA/Explorer-Bass.aspx I think it looks rather odd, too much like a tacky conversion of a guitar, and with retail price of $2249 It will be out of most people's reach. Im curios as to how it sounds
7. You cant hold no groove- Victor Wooten Took me ages to learn but I finally got most of it down
8. Sadly im too far away from anywhere to have regular tuition. And that book does look good, from what I can see on youtube Jean plays bass's with silly amounts of strings, can the book be learned from with a 4 stringer?
9. Ive been looking at some two handed tapping vids on YouTube and I really want to get to grips with it. But I don't really know where to start. Are there any good books out there?
10. Thanks for the advise guys. im not looking to get the guys exact tone, ive just always liked active jazz tones, Marcus miller and such i think im cleared up on what electronics i should be looking at, but what about the actual bass? i love the look of the vintage modified squiers, or should i look for a good mexican jazz?
11. im looking for a new bass and i have a budget of around £700 i love the sound of this bass: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTk71CjdbkE&feature=related But i cant afford the 2000+ price tag ive considered doing a bitsa with high quality parts but i have no experience or skill in building guitars. Any suggestions?
12. My guitarist brother built himself a 2x12 guitar cab. it looks quite nice, the shape inside is just a box with the speakers atached to the front. Now that he has no use for it i want to turn it into a bass cab by putting some speakers in. is there any obvious problems with this? Also where can i get hold of some good quality speakers for a reasonable price? On ebay there's some emminense ones but theyre way to pricey. i could buy a second hand cab for the same price Cheers Mike
13. That looks like a long scale guitar to me
14. http://www.cashconverters.co.uk/auction-item/408903/jackson-dinky-2-six-string-bass-guitar is it me or has this got slightly thin strings and string spacing to be a bass?
15. Generally im an anoying teenage timewaster. Ive been into mansons a few times, one time I bought my Ibanez, the other times I tried out stuff I couldent afford, but I tried to stick to things that I would be able to afford in the forseeable future. As Iwill definately buy from them again because they are a very helpfull bunch. And I can only buy basses that ive tried out before.

19. I tried one out yesterday in Mansons, very nice. Full of features, the compressor is amazing, as is tubetone. The 4 band eq is great and you can save 3 pre-sets. Its just great
20. At one of my gigs at the youth centre it took us 3 hours to set up, but we did have to fix the lights. And I had to run back to my house to get some leads because my guitarist's broke
21. Oh and i forgot to say they look like the toy guitar i had when i was 5.
22. i was realy dissapointed in the song, the verses were cool, i was waiting for an upbeat chorus but it was just a bit naff And i played a fleabass, it was just a crap stingray copy, the neck was ok, but it was atached to the body badly, and the electronics were shocking, no tone whatsoever
