I use mine live... got a couple of patches set up for different songs and run the compressor depending on the amp I’m using. Works well 😃👍🏻

The 450... 60 odd. Probably not the size of Barrie’s gigs though mainly pubs/clubs 😃I only twice had any major issues but I think that was specific to the venues/stage. I preferred the punch clarity of the 750. Sorry. Derailing the Helix thread! Love my hxfx too!

Do you think that was just the 450 Barrie? I had the 450 for a while and liked it for the features but it was paired with the rs cabs, I didn’t have any issues (not really in a function band though at the time) ... I upgraded to the 750 and had the core tones set on the 3 channels as you did and again no problems at all. I didn’t find the tone was sucked out. Both since long gone in favour of the berg amp though.

Berg amps are just great, I have a BAmp (paired with a cn212) .. congrats 🥳 👍🏻👍🏻... looks great bet it sounds killer to... crank it up! 😃

Hi All, My nephew likes to have a play on my basses when he visits, so I thought I’d annoy my brother by getting him a small bass for Xmas. I know, good of me right ?! 😂😂(Better than a drum kit). I have a very small combo. Cables etc. I’m just looking for something he could make noise on. I must say he’s only 5, he’ll make a horrendous racket so I’m not looking for any fancy basses. Im sure many of you have kids that have learnt on something cheap, so I’m looking for your recommendations, short scale I’m guessing ... I’ve got a wanted add up to. Your thoughts....

I don’t think any patches need to be perfect. The punters won’t know so long as it’s close enough. I think we’d all agree about the synths in the helix. Shame really!
