    I didn’t think I’d do this, but needs must. After gassing for years I got a decent Ray, but the reality is I’m playing my other basses more and need to release funds. You all know what it is, and this is a fine example for a 42/43 year old bass. It’s in great condition. It has a hard case (not original but around the same age). I’ve replaced 2 of the knobs, but originals are included. More pics available (sadowsky not included) Rather not ship but will if the offer is right. Prefer a meet or collection.     I wouldn’t mind hearing it mate but only if you have time. I have a sadowsky uv70 I’m thinking it will be almost the same (aside from the extra string!) the sadowsky knobs do look better 👍🏻 lovely looking bass.

    @carlsim what’s the difference between this and the Jerry Barnes sig? (Other than the black scratch plate) Any sound clips with the new pre amp?

    Thanks. It’s in excellent condition for its age. The only thing is the chrome coating coming off the knobs. 42 years worth of sweat and beer is the cause I reckon. Replace them eventually. Job done.

    Well. I’ve wanted one for a while… I’m not disappointed in the slightest. it’s a cracking 42 year old. Lovely weight. Very good condition. Yet to plug it in but just having a noodle feels awesome. thanks @walshy 👍🏻

    I experienced exactly this a couple of years ago the advice on here is sound but it’s whatever works best for you. I literally left the band for 3 months. I talked to the guys (and gal) and we got a dep to cover me. Lots and lots going on at the time. Work/family/home and out every weekend with the band. We are still together. I went back with renewed love for the bass and band. Talk to them. 👍🏻
