3. She has a decent enough voice to make it on her own.
 4. Does anyone on here play with a metal pick? must play havoc with the s/plate. not to mention the strings!.
 5.
Yeah that's pretty common. What you need to do is arrange a named day for delivery with the seller, and make it one when the missus isn't in. After delivery you take it (and all packaging) out to the car and transport it to your safe place.
Sounds like your speaking from experience.
 6.
Flowers for Mrs Beerdragon tomorrow?
If flowers is all it takes for you're a lucky bugger.
 7.
You can send it to my house.
what turned out to be sort of a joke is not funny, the seller refused to send anywhere but my address. Saying he;s got got more protection as a seller and if anything goes wrong then he's not covered through paypal. . Fairynuff.
 8. Welcome to Basschat billbern, our resident welcomer does not appear to be here at the moment, having her hair or nails done or something. we have a gear porn section here so post some photos if you can.
 9.
Ive got an Epi T bass. I hate the thing. Yes it does look cool but the neck will never stay straight, the pickups are woolly and indistinct and ive had to place some plastic under the E string to keep it at a height to prevent fret buzz on every fret. It's been set up and re setup but its never been right. It's now gathering dust in the spare room. Having said all that I did have a look at the T bird pro. They look fit. I hope the gibbo corporation have sorted the quality issues.
I Hope the Tokai are are better build than the Epiphone. I will give it a go and if i dont like it i'll try and shift it on ebay. There are are a few sites showing how to move the strap nut including a thread on basschat.
 10.
You can send it to my house.
Congratulations, you are the first.

 12. I hit the BIN button, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Tokai-Thunderbird-Ba...93%3A1|294%3A50 Got to look around for an address to send it to now. the GAS inspector might not be amused.
 13. I'm selling a PBass i put together to use has a back up bass, but have decided to use something else. its a Squier Affinity body with a Maple neck i bought off the net. Its Black/Maple Black. i could not find a Squier plate so i used a USA one and it didn't fit so had to cut around the Pups and did not make a great job of it. i was going to put a cover on it. the neck is a little chunky and the action is a bit high. I lowered the bridge to get the action to were it is. it measures 5mm at the twelve fret. the string tree also needs looking at as i made a mess of installing it. there are no marks on the body and it sounds ok. could make a project for someone. Pics are not great. £110 plus £10 postage. come with a Fender gig bag.
 14.
There's a v cheap 2nd hand Tokai T'bird on eBay which also comes with a hard case (albeit the latter is described as shabby) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Tokai-Thunderbird-Ba...%3A1%7C294%3A50
Thanks Clarky, i might make him an offer. although it has twenty two days to go and i don't really want to hang about.
Cetera has an old Epiphone Goth that I was going to buy for a Fenderbird project but sadly I had to shoot through due to home strife. Why not give him a buzz. All the best on your quest.
Thanks but i guess that's black! looking for a burst or even white. goth's not my thing.
 15. I'm looking to buy a Thunderbird. a Gibson is out of the question. I have seen a Tokai on here, http://www.expressmusicstore.co.uk/products.asp?code=79389. Or there's a couple on ebay. Whats the difference in build quality between the two?

 17. As simon1964 says they are ok for the money. i had to sand mine down too to fit a Squier body. be prepared for a quite chunky profile also.
 18. Nobody? guess i will have try them out then. i wonder if you can mix them, An 84 at the bridge and a Hammer on the neck.
 19. Anyone tried them?. i have used the 84's and would have no hesitation in getting another pair but wondered how the hammers sounded. http://www.wizardpickups.co.uk/shop.asp?category=Bass

 22.
We are normally a 4 piece band doing originals with a few covers thrown in but the other two guys can't always do gigs due to family commitments so myself and the lead singer/acoustic guitarist are looking at doing a pub act at weekends. The problem we have is deciding what covers to do so basically I'm looking for ideas of covers to do that generally go down well in pubs, bearing in mind that we'll be doing them acoustically. He's got a Calling/Creed/Stained sort of voice. Obviously we have a few of those songs in our artillary already and are now looking for a few more ideas.
I think this song has already been mentioned somewere on Basschat but again Place your hands by Reef gets people going. i suppose it could be done acoustically.
 23. Luck.don't forget to pop them into here. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=7919
