4. For a 62/63 If thats what it is, i'd say it was slightly ahead of its time with that finish. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=280368832395

 6. We Alone by Heart, we started doing it in A sharp. then dropped it to G sharp. Our singer wants to drop it to F sharp now! Its a very easy song to do for bass. but i thought i would make it even easier if i used Guitar Pro. the fretboard says its in F sharp but the sound is in the original A sharp. anyone know how to get it to F sharp?.
 7.
I rejoice in the wonderfulness of the human race, and despair of its cruelty and inhuman treatment of itself, every day. I read once, I think in a '80s Guitar Player Magazine, that an interviewee in the mag who used to walk the streets of New York carrying an instrument to gigs and rehearsals, never once got mugged, they always left him alone because there was a sort of empathy, a poor musician trying to earn a living, some weird respect thing for musicians going on. I've always felt pretty safe carrying my bass around, even in dodgy places in London at night.
Was it a Violin case?
 8. I'm sure we have a regular poster here on Basschat who is in Austria. cant for the life of me remember his name. Soulfinger!. why dont you give him a pm, he might know something in your area. 9.
I went to see my mate's band last week-The Bucket Boys. These boys have musical cred coming out their ears-their lead guitarist has played with Pink Floyd (my other mate who was with me can testify to this-he saw him with them 20 years ago at Wembley), thier drummer has done some pretty impressive session work, and played on at least one big hit in the 60's. Their bass player was using a Sunn Mustang (looked exactly like a Precision) through a Behringer combo-about 100W I would guess-and looked to be cranking it pretty hard, with no PA support. Sounded great.
I saw the Bucket Boys last year in St Ives. You are on about Tim Renwick who played with the Floyd, The bass player had an upright bass if i remember corectly and they were all very professional, great band.
 10. Strange, the same guy sold it for £104 the other week. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Ibanez-Blazer-series...emZ180379559163
 11.
We should copy our French cousins. They simply ignore the laws they don't like - and their cops have got better things to do than bust folkies and bluesers.
Yeah but their music's s..t though.
 12.
Fairly recent gigging photo.
You look about forty years younger without the beard.

 14. I'm selling a Maple neck/fingerboard for a Pbass. i bought it a few months ago from here, http://www.dangleberrymusic.co.uk/p-498-dr...ingerboard.aspx. It has been drilled for a Squire body, so i have no idea if it would be ok for any other Pbass, £42 Plus a couple of quid for postage.

Well, you get the picture. there are a million artistes who you could play along with. i take an hour or so every night and play along. Spotify is a wonderful thing.

 20. Talking to a couple of mates who are in a band last night and they were telling me that a guy who runs a pub that both their band and ours play at has had a visit from the tax man and for some reason he given the tax man contact numbers belonging to all he bands that have played. this apparently is for the year 07. we played there once that year. i am going to get all of the story if i can before i say any more. this could be interesting. does anyone have any experience of the tax man and their band?
