1. I like my Jazz as much as my MIA P and more than my Aria SB1000.
2. Was thi sjust an excuse to post an awesome picture of yourself
3. I really like a few of their songs not for the bass just the songs themselves. I can see why someone would take a dislike to him. At first glance he has a cockiness I think.
4. At 38 with a young family I'm happy with occasional jams. Just nice to play with others especially those that are far better at their instruments than I am.
5. For the first time as a bass player. 2 accomplished guitarist/vocalists and my pal who is very handy on the drums. 4 and a half hours of playing each others songs and a couple of covers. Taking the P with flats was a smart move otherwise my fingers would be in as bad a state as my shoulder Can't wait to do it again.
6. I agree with Enrico, a good teacher needs to inspire and find out how to get the info into the students head.
7. Start thinking about how you can get cash flow without working for someone else. Now is the time.
8. Very cool, that's my afternoon shorted another one for your list http://www.hepcatpickups.com/
9. Perfect condition, this one left the house twice I think. £110 collected from Orpington in Kent
10. The time has come to let this go. I've owned it for about 10 years and used it a handful of times only. Built in australia in the 60s it's in pretty good condition, the grill cloth on mine is black (poor picture until I get home tonight) It has two chanels one for guitar the other for voice/accordian(!) Some info I've gleaned from the internet http://deanmarkleyvintageamps.weebly.com/moody-ba-series.html Moody tube guitar amplifiers were made by R. Moody & Co. Pty Ltd, of Sydney, NSW , Australia during 1960s through early 1970s. The company was owned by Bert (Robert) Moody, who passed away in 2005. Moody also produced amplifiers under the Ultratone brand. Vintage amp collectors value Moody amps for their killer tone, point-to-point wiring and quality components. Some of the Moody amplifiers, such as the BA40 stand out for their distinctive styling. Moody amplifiers were initially made at the Moody workshop at Board Street, Lidcombe, NSW. After a fire Moody relocated to a purpose built factory at: 126 Bombay Street Lidcombe, NSW Australia Moody ceased making guitar amplifiers in early-to-mid 1970s, as cheaper Japanese amplifiers took hold in Australian market. Moody then became the Australian distributor for Baldwin Piano and Organ Company (USA) products. The Moody brand was relaunched in 2007. More pics to follow tonight, I'm looking for £400ovno collected from Orpington in Kent. Can demo but you'll need to bring a cab.
11. I'm 38 and wished I'd put more into my pension when I was younger. I should have paid off a lot of my mortgage but haven't etc. etc. I've come to realise that GAS is fun but not the actual aquisition part. I love looking, learning, researching etc. but once I've bought something I feel like I've actually lost something and the actual act is not the point. that's why I'm selling tons of stuff I've bought over the years and jsut living a simpler lifestyle.

13.
Thumperbob - yeah, retiring at 60 is a real bonus if possible, I work for The Post Office, and have done since 21, so will retire on virtually full pension, which, with no mortgage for the 3 years prior to that, I should be able to live comfortably on til the state pension kicks in.
Now that sounds like a plan. Get them debts cleared, forget the basses
14. As an aside to my eyes that video says "The sound of weed"
15. Is there no chance of your plan working if you kept one of the 70s guitars but did everything else?
16. I love listening to things I've done...however...I haven't done my 'magnum opus' and so there is still a lot of recorded music that is so much better than any of mine.
17.
I am moaning about the fact that I never get to play with Dave Liebman and Adam Nussbaum. That and the fact that I am an ungrateful little s***
18. The 63 is my fave but that LPB one is lovely too
19. Surely using deception to gain money is fraud and not a civil matter?
20. The police will come if you tell them you are going to kill him.
21. Mind changed http://basschat.co.uk/topic/189446-for-sale-kubicki-ex-factor-2000-pre-fender-era-mint-condish-no-trades/
22. Perhaps I should get my drumset out and put a little time in to get back up to scratch.
