I know exactly what I want. I want to be in a 3 piece with a couple of friends, both of whom are very talented and fun to be around. I want to play the side man and support the singer/guitarist and do everything I can to make him sound and look good. I want to play a few times a year to a minimum of 300 people.

As an alternative we are doing jam nights. The pub gets music for about 4 hours, we play for as much of it as we have to.

House band for a new jam night in Greenwich tonight. Monthly affair, I was distinctly average, glad a bassist friend turned up and jammed too. People loved it, dancing and compliments galore. We played as a 4 piece drums, bass, guitar and sax. The sax player was great.

Played at an outdoor festival yesterday and it was the most fun I've had playing my bass. Good weather, nice surroundings. couldn't hear much on stage so ended up taking my ear plugs out and after that it was ok. They asked us right away if we will play next year.
