Pick holding hand (right hand) hurts while playing - HELP!
tombboy replied to larrikin's topic in General Discussion
I have the exact same pains in my picking hand if I don't warm up for half an hour before I gig. This is due to an old football injury (goalkeeper) which has resulted in a reflux joint on my thumb. My right hand thumb is about half and inch longer than my left due to not being set properly. If I wanted to I could bend it completely backward to touch my wrist from the ulnar knuckle. You would hear the screams from miles away though!! -

They only made a select number of SR5 pickups in white to suit specific orders. You won't find an EB SR4 pup in white. Try the aftermarket models.
I enjoyed every gig I went to and will be around at a few of this years dates, not sure which yet, at least 3, maybe 4 Tony
Will you be at Norwich Tony? If so, come and find me after and we'll have a pint. Also, we are after someone to do some photographs during our set. PM me if interested. Cheers, Jamie.

This is From The Jam last year.... even though Weller isn't there I still think it's a class effort.

I've got the pleasure of sharing the stage with him in Norwich on the 5th December! To me, he's a living legend.
+1 on what Peted said. The only time I get ear infections is when I use ear plugs Peter
It does pay to sterilise them between each use. Apologies in advance if you do that already. Maybe you're just unlucky in that respect.

Sold mine to a fellow BC'er about five months ago, purely because I was too scared to take it out of the house and it wasn't getting played like it should have been. Beautiful, and I mean BEAUTIFUL instrument. Sterling is correct... the BEST Stingray EVER made. So much punch, growl, wonderful highs and earth shattering lows. Asthetically, it was a dream to look at too. Angryman will back this up... he's had a dabble on it too. Like many of my basses, I wish I'd never let it go now..... ho hum!

I don't think you can do much wrong with this....! I owned this very amp over a year ago and I know the current owner has looked after it. PLENTY loud enough to do what you want and it will leave enough in your budget to buy another bass!

Not having watched it, I thoroughly enjoyed it! Great tone, technique and boy, can he play!! I'm sure he's very good but is there such a thing as blind sarcasm? Only I'm not taking the piss/slaggng off because I never saw nothing!! (double negative!)

What the hell is a "pocket", more so a "deep pocket"?
You weren't that good the first time to be honest Reminds me, we need to sort out 15th. My turn to bring the gear?? S
Only if I can trash it during the last song! Cheers Steve, will save me a lugging!!

I tend to read people well. I mostly always will lend my rig to those who are polite and ask before a gig and show good etiquette. I will always lend a bass to someone who snaps a string mid set and doesn't carry a spare (even re-stringed for them while they play... no drama, like to think someone would do it for me!!). However... seeing as I've entered 'boutique' territory and with no back-up rig to support... you'd probably have to have slept with me to have another fiddle now!!

Your posts are slightly confusing Clarky regarding the price. You say you are offering 30% off the retail price.... Is that 30% off what you paid for it (£900), 30% off retail as you posted in July (£972) or 30% off retail now (£1,027)???? This is mean't in the nicest possible way... do us a favour mate... stop faffing and name your price!

Got a Markbass TA503.... let me see: Tube pre-amp = yup! 2U rack = aye! Lightweight = indeedy! Speakon/Jack outputs = yessuree! Footswitch mute = yar! Parametric eq = 4 band Tuner out & effects loop = present. 500 watts into 4 ohms = kaboom! Balanced DI with level = tick! Compression = nope!! But the 501 does!! (and anything after 1 O'clock on the master just compresses anyway.) Blue lights = sexy!

What cetera said..... boost the mids. Very punchy sound on the Escape album. Can't hear any chorus, maybe a slight touch of overdrive but nothing else. Ross used to be clean then!
