2. Hi Thank you for all the advice. Went with the focusrite scarlett 18i8. Only started farting around with it but it does seem to do what I wanted so I'm happy? Cheers
3. Cheers, Had a look at both of them online but it isn't clear on any website/manual that you can track four instruments simultaneously over USB. Jock
4. Hi, I'm looking for a USB audio interface that will allow me to record 4 track simultaneously into Cubase 10. All suggestions welcome. Cheers Jock
5. Hi Been using an elbee 10 as my practice/recording amp since 2016, its 600watts at 4ohms. Originally with an Eden wtx500 and more recently with a darkglass microtubes amp. Its a sturdy wee bugger, the sound is pretty uncoloured and the tweeter is pretty good too. It does get pretty loud and handles overdrive and distorsion well. Its kept up in rehersals with a relatively loud drummer using both an analogue and electronic kit. It also works well with digitally created music (one of my other passions). Mine is for sale on reverb only because I need to convert it to cash money to fund some decent recording gear.
6. Cheers BassBus, I pass on your comment to the lads
7. First time my mates and I (Eden's Harvest) have recorded a full song and put it out in the wild. Originally lyrics/tune written some 20 odd years ago by Brian it sat in a folder. I'm the baby of the group at 49 the rest are in their 60s. Loads of different influences between us all but seems to work and of course it's FUN. Eden's Harvest are: Brian Locke: Vocals and Keys Derek White: Thythm and lead Guitar With guest guitarist Rudi Samborski oh and me on bass

19. Hi My amp died last night at rehearsal...wondering if its fixable or scrap. So here is what happened. Amp, cab, zoom b3 and bass all connected and mute switch on before power switched on. Power came from domestic supply, When I turned on the amp the fan and lights all came on as expected. Somewhere between 30 second to a minute I noticed a burning smell in the room. Yep it was my wtx500. Fan had cut out and no sound. Power light was still on. Any ideas as to what may be shot and suggestions (within reason and polite please ) of what should be my next step/s.. Help would very much be appreciated. Jock
20. Hi All Re DB embee 10 Bought one of these little buggers in August from The Gallery to pair up with a pre-owned Eden WTX 500 and absolutely love it. My main aim was to put together a small, lighter reasonably powerful rig as a replacement for a Roland cube 100 combo. Difficult to find info but there had been a couple of wee reviews posted on you tube that where helpful. Tried a few other cabs before buying but nothing seemed to fit with me. In the end I actually bought mine without trying out first after seeing a couple of you tube clips. I know it was a wee bit of a hail Mary move but as I couldn't get into London to try out and I though I may as well give it a punt. Great customer service from Charlie of The Gallery and DB. Opted for a 4ohms flavour cab which wasn't in stock but my order was still delivered within 10 working days. Cab was delivered by courier packed in bomb proof packaging. The build quality is excellent, not only does it look great but it's construction is solid as hell. I was interested to see how the protective paint covering would perform, having used carpet covered cabs in the past I wanted to avoid this type of covering. The textured paint didn't disappoint, not only looks good it's also hard as nails. I'm no sound geek but as far as how the cab sounds it copes extremely well with what I throw at it. I play in a 3 piece originals band, it's difficult to pigeonhole what we do but I do tend to use a wee bit of distortion/overdrive. I also love the angled speaker, with the Roland cube I had to tilt or raise it higher to hear it properly when played in a band context, I can now hear myself clearer whether I'm seated or standing. The Roland combo was pretty loud for it's size but it often struggled to handle high volume and distortion. When played side by side there was a distinct difference in the quality of sound. Obviously comparing the two rigs is like comparing apples and oranges but now I have more power under the hood with the wtx500 and can now play louder(if and when needed) without loosing clarity/tone. I'm a very happy boy
21. Hi Had the same issue a couple weeks ago and I was surprised that it didn't trip any RCds. After a wee bit of testing it was due to a grounding issue caused by a faulty "kettle" type power chord running into my amp. So it was an easy and inexpensive fix for me, hope you get yours sorted.
