    I had a quick go on this when I sold Mike my SR500 in the spring. Usually I find P necks are too big for me, but this was really comfortable to play. It's a great bass. Good luck with the sale

    Mine is not at all the sort of bass I like... neck is a treetrunk. But I love it and can't see myself ever getting rid of it.

    Having said all that, someone paid less than £20 for a neck, a couple of pickups, etc.... Didn't think [u]that[/u] one through... and I'll be near Frome on Friday.

I agree with cocco, the Tele headstock is the key. Unfortunately I don't really get on with Tele necks, so I'd have to cut down a J-type neck, which shouldn't be too bad - I've got something which might do. Let me have a think.

    Nice one! Finally, someone's built a Fender I actually really like the look of... I'm pleased it came together for you. I thought when you sold the neck a couple of months back you might have abandoned it.
