    No mate. It's a Standard USA Jazz, but the previous owner put stacked knobs onto it for the '62 look. The original controls are included with the bass, should the new owner want it back as stock.

I don't give a bollocks what people want to call it in terms of a genre, to me it's just music. I'm a rock player, but to me all good music is fabulous, whatever you want to call it. Go and sample some of Janeks' music. Open your ears and enjoy, and don't let anyone unload their blinkered opinions onto you, just make your own mind up.

    I don't like a low action. I clank the strings like a horse galloping on tarmac, so my basses are normally 3-4mm at the 12th. I like a bit of daylight between the string and the fretboard.

I CAN post, but I'd rather meet somewhere (within reason) as I travel up and down the country for work, but if you live in Cornwall or Dundee then that might be an issue [b]WIthdrawn[/b].....It's way to awesome to let go. I'll find the money another way.

    In answer to the OP. No. However many of the points raised above give very good reasons as to why the bass is priced up there. If it was MY bass, and I was selling it on here, I'd ask around a grand at the very most, while expecting to accept an offer of around £900. It's not worth any more than that in my opinion. "Old" (subjective) basses are overpriced, just because they're getting on a bit automatically makes them more valuable. I've had a couple of 70s Fenders that have been rubbish. My MIM 50s RI Precision batters them all on all counts, and at a fraction of the cost.
