1. Because the bass is round my drummer's house, and I'm a lazy bugger
2. Bump Had some interest so far, keep it coming!
3. If you want that quacky raspy envelope sound you may want to pick up a DOD FX25, or FX25b if you cant find the original. I hear there are volume discrepancy issues with them, though.

5. An original Mutron III, I'd say. If you can find one, that is.

9. I love VoodooJunkie I do. I joined my current band by posting a bassist available ad on there.
10. May want to try putting an add on http://www.voodoojunkie.com or http://www.ttyc.co.uk/. Both local Bristol forums frequented by plenty of musicians and music scene bods (promoters, soundguys etc).
11. Looking really nice, will be interested in seeing it completed
12. Christ on a bike. It only takes a moment to say "this has been asked before, but you may find this previous thread helpful", or, if you're too busy, not say anything at all... Being polite works on the internet as well as in real life, suprisingly enough!
13. I'd recommend Labella Deep Talkin' flats. Nice smooth tone, nice highs and a fat bottom. A bit mid shy, hence the smoothness.
14.
Hehe, not sure if i want punchy, More piano like If anything Unless its a MM or Rick.
If its anything like my S2, then it'll do that as well
15. If you like modern punchy tone, I doubt you could go far wrong with Paul C's Stealth mate!
16. Oh... er... must restrain... self...
17.
f***ed if I know.
Ah ha! I was totally stumped by that one!
18.
FIIK!
??? All asthetics, really. Some may say there is more neck to body contact, but I doubt it makes any difference to tone. Single cut guitars like the Les Paul have been around years, so why not have single cut basses too?
19. I've owned a mexican Fender before and the build quality and tone was nowhere near the US Jazz I have now. I've also owned a Japanese Jaguar guitar, and that was really well made as well.
20. I've got some Labella Deep Talkin' flats on my S2 at the moment, and although they are nice smooth sounding strings, I can imagine they would struggle to cut through in a band situation as they seem very mid shy to me.
21. I was thinking the same last night, trying to get a decent pick tone from my Little Mark with my Jazz. Got a nice tone but sounded a bit sterile, maybe a sansamp would be the ticket but would be nice to chuck some tube witchcraft in there somewhere!
22. I've seen that one for sale before, and nice as it is, wouldn't want to pay that much. I doubt it would offer anything tonally over my wood necked Series 1 Status, and I picked that up for £250 I'd say £550-£650 would be a more realistic. That's just me though!
23. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=1Lf3K6VxKZ4 Anyone care to guess what he has turned on in this clip? Sounds lush!
24.
apart from natural selection.
True!
