1. Looks like a Hamer Blitz to me.
2. One thing to consider of course is that nature has no concept of value or quality. Wood grows, we cut it down and use it, but whether the sound a certain type of wood gives is worth its cost is an entirely subjective matter. Its not like a cheap wood is cheap because the tree cut corners while it was growing! It may just be because the wood is plentiful.
3. A few of my recent posts have gone missing. Database corruption perhaps?
4. Cool bass. Great big fat dub sound.
5. If its just that one fret, then yes it could be a slightly higher fret or unevenly fitted fret. As its around the 8th fret I'd imagine slightly loosening the truss rod (1/4 turn or under at first) would sort it.
6. This is amazing, and I'm not a huge slap fan! Insanely good...
7. I didn't say you did The Funk. I didn't particularly want to go finger pointing and such, just to remind people that threads like this have caused valued members to leave in the past -_- I'm not a mod though, so I shouldn't be getting on my high horse anyway
8. Sex shouldnt come into it, to be honest. You either like her playing or you don't, simple as.

My new Jazz!

I bought Bassjamm's '99 USA Jazz on Saturday. I love it so far, best 4 stringer I've owned I'd say. Still fine tuning it to my heavy handed style, but nearly there - while I was tweaking the action etc earlier I recorded some soundclips, which are below: Jazz Groove Jazz Groove 2 Jazz - Space Cowboy I'm loving having a decent 4 string for a change - the neck is refreshingly thin and easy after using 5s for a year. I'm looking forward to using this with the band once I get a hipshot fitted
10. Excellent and thoughtful choice of notes in that solo, not noodly at all which is refreshing. I can't help but mention that a few of the comments in this thread are quite offensive to women, and I'm a man for petes sake. Think before pressing submit, please.

12. That's very beautiful. Congratulations!
13. You're a picky one, you are Mind you, I'm not sure it would be able to compete with my drummer in rehearsal anyway. I need to push my LMII quite hard sometimes, and that's not a quiet amp!
14. Wowsers! I'll trade you the mock for the Trace head!
15. Bought Bassjamm's USA Jazz today. Bass was as described, its a beaut. Jamie was easy and pleasant to deal with, no problems at all.
16. Bought his BCR Mockingbird ages ago. Sure I posted feedback in the old forum, but sale was smooth, Rob is a great guy to deal with and the bass was as described.
17. I've just bought BassJamm's lovely US Jazz today - I really have no need for more basses at the moment. So, my fit of madness is over, I'm sure you'll be pleased to hear! Officially withdrawn. I'll spend some time with the Jazz and come back to this one in time, and if needs be get a fretless neck made.
18. Well, an Alembic preferably I'm starting to think I'm insane as well. Am I? Maybe I should get a fretless neck from Status for it in order to add some variety...

20. I'd consider older Warwick 5s as well, before the necks went to ovankol - Dolphin Pro 1s, Thumbs, and Streamer Stage 2s...
21. Looks very nice, but doesnt really grab me, sorry
22. True. They do use it on the Rockbass line though. I think as most Warwicks are a natural finish and Alder is quite a plain wood, they may reserve it for painted basses? Its still an excellent tonewood. My wood identification skills aren't the best though, so it may not be alder at all...
23.
My fretless S2? Totally different beast. Edit: Hmm, actually - I'll pass; I could live with the bolt on, but not with a head
I knew you'd draw the line at the head!
