1. "Usually upgrades add nothing to resale value" I'll have to keep that in mind
2. Currently listening to Mastodon's new album "Emperor of Sand" Wasn't sure on the first listen as not quite what I expected, but an excellent album. Been putting it on every chance I get for the last few days
3.
All i said was to be cautious. I dont know if it's a scam or not but thought i would mention it just in case.
And rightly so - I was just poking a bit of fun
4.
Fair reasons, have to say I didn't know that it was a 'thing' to use the North of Scotland as a fake location, good to know.
Nor did I! Hmm, wonder if that's why my Schecter didn't sell...
5. One day. One day I will have one of these.
6. Thought this would have been long gone!
7. Please withdraw - Thank you
8. This just reminds my of my first ever cab - 1x15 bought off ebay, got it delivered and plugged in - sounded terrible. Opened it up and most of the speaker was being held together with sellotape on the back, including where this one's been punctured. So yeah, don't use sellotape
9. I can't believe I forgot about this guy - Good to see he's still as creative as ever.
10. I belive I took advantage of the same clear out as above. Mark, the generous chap that he is, just sent me a very well packaged set of pickups and tuners. Asking only for the price of postage to be covered. Couldn't have gone smoother - Thanks again
11. Unwell and feeling sorry for myself bump
12. Thanks man - Bump!
13. Think this is the first time I've ever posted something in this section - Only started looking as I'm going to try my hand at some upgrades etc for my first bass (Jim Deacon P) Before I do too much to it, the body has been signed* using a silver marker. Wouldn't be an issue but it stretches up on to the forearm contour and has already shown a wee bit of fading. Any recommendations for what I can use to give it bit of a protective layer? The body is black so I imagine whatever I use will need to be used all over but happy to be told otherwise *Oscar from Ocean Colour Scene for those interested
14. Hmm, I have a funny feeling that this sale isn't going through - Not heard from the guy for a while and now no messages are being returned. Updated the OP as really looking for a sale to fund an amp or a trade for an amp - Thanks again for the offer, Chris!
15. FWIW I've just watched those videos and I now have some tools in my Amazon basket totalling £15 or so. Going to dig out my old Jim Deacon and give it a go for the first time. Keep an eye out for the "disaster" thread
16.
Just weighed it, it weighs 3.6kg. Incredibly light for a five string. That's fairly light for a 4 string tbh.
It took me longer than I'd like to admit to realise this wasn't just another joke...
17. Hey Chris, Thanks for the offer. I think I may have just got a local sale organised but won't be completed until the end of the month. Should it fall through for any reason I'll give you a shout. Thread updated, apologies for not doing it sooner!
18. Probably the last bump before evilbay Further drop to £350 before withdrawing
19. A few more enquiries but still here - think the amp I was after has been withdrawn though!
20. Hey Biglump, 35" scale on this one Also to add, I have some holidays coming up and I'm happy to arrange personal delivery - I do like a wee day trip!
21. Major GAS - open to offers
22. This is killing me! Need to shift my Schecter first though
23. Alright, one more price drop - Started playing this again and very happy to keep it if it doesn't go but still open to offers
