For sale is my Ibanez EDA 905.

I bought this a year or so ago, as I love the shape. Its just so darned comfy (even though it may not look it). However, despite my best efforts, as I mostly play 4 strings, I'm struggling with the extra board width and the extra string, and this is just not getting used.

These don't come along too often, in fact I waited over a year before I was able to lay my hands on one. The 4 strings seem to come along even less often, but I live in hope. (If there's anyone out there with a 4 string version for sale, please let me know)

Anyway some details. The body is made from Luthite, which sounds like it could play a part in a major blockbuster as some super-heroes Achilles heel. The neck is hewn from much more well known maple, topped with a rosewood fingerboard.

Some specs shamelessly lifted from elsewhere -

Body Material: Luthite

Bridge: Mono-Rail II with Fishman Piezo

Hardware Colour: Charcoal

Neck Pickup: Ibanez Dynamix Full Range passive pickup

Active EQ: EQA-PZ

Neck Material: 3-Piece Maple

Neck Type: EDA5

Number of Frets: 24

Fret Type: Medium

Fingerboard: Rosewood

Inlay: Pearl Dot
So this has extra Peizo pickups up in the bridge, each with its own control at the back of the bass for balancing up. There's also a pair of overall controls on the back for the overall mix, as an extra to the controls at the front.

Condition wise not to bad, there's a ding at the top of the headstock which is shown in the pics, a scuff on the top horn, a similar blemish on the bottom horn. The back of the neck has a couple of small chips in the lacquer which I could not seem to photograph. Other than that, not too bad at all.

Price = £200. I would prefer collection if possible of course, (Axminster) I'm happy to deliver fairly locally or bring it along to a gig to hand over if my band is coming near you anytime soon (here's my bands dates here - http://www.cloudbust....com/dates.html) Postage is not entirely out of the question either.

Here's a review from some American fella that explains the set up lots better than I did - https://www.youtube....h?v=46LdJKrmYwU

Just weighed it, it weighs 3.6kg. Incredibly light for a five string.
That's fairly light for a 4 string tbh.

It took me longer than I'd like to admit to realise this wasn't just another joke...
