You are so right about descriptions! Make, model, and dimensions tells it all. If they are vague, it might be trouble-dealing with that seller.

My preference is to have at least one instrument as a backup. Here's my current lineup of four basses. One of two five strings is fretless, and one four string is neck through. It's a diverse group. 1. Active/Passive 2. Passive 3, Passive 4. Active That list includes only one bass that will not operate without a 9v battery. Any of the other 3 basses can be carried on a gig to replace it on stage if No. 4 has a battery fail (or it otherwise fails) during a song.

Just started the honeymoon, here. The model is [font=lucida sans unicode, lucida grande, sans-serif]Ltd[/font] B-204FM (made in Korea). This flamed maple over basswood (FM) model was later replaced by the spalted maple (SM) over ash version. I've got basses from the same price range, and more expensive bass instruments. This one is impressive on every level-sound, feel, EQ options, looks, quality of parts, and workmanship from the factory.

To supplement my 3 Jazz basses, I've sold my MIM P bass, and bought one of the SRX series. The muscle tones available on that bass make for some sound alternatives!

Let us know the spacing on the Carvin that you are selling, and the spacing that you desire, so we can offer proper suggestions instead of opening a can of these:

Got one? In my attempts to add a variety of basses, and pickup sounds to the lineup, I've added a couple of different Peavey basses, lately. First was a defretted, Peavey Millennium BXP Fiver, now this one with matching headstock. This active/passive bass with factory bypass was born in Meridian, Mississippi in 1989... We're getting used to things here, Taylor the boxer-mix and family. When the bass cranks up, she no longer leaves the room or winces.

Many posts refer to the Millennium BXP basses as if they were ALL built Active. Not the case! -Passive 4 string, and a passive 5 string built with a basswood body (3 knobs). -Active 4 string, and a active 5 string built with an agathis body (5 knobs). My passive M BXP Fiver was defretted by a qualified guy, and is a joy to play.
