1. Not hear of them either. But that head looks like the b4st4rd love child of an RH450 and an old HH head to me
2.
I have to say I tried it next to the BBM and I did prefer it. The Big Muff is best for mental fuzz though, where as I normally like just a bit of of crunch.
Same here. I found the BBM a bit "fizzy", the Blogger seems to suit a P bass more to my ears. At shop volume, the drive didn't seem to do a lot, but at band levels it's great for me. My decision wasn't helped by the fact that I had a guitarist with me who kept telling me all the reviews say the BBM is better The best I tried was the MXR El-Grande, but the first one out of the box out of the box wouldn't work at all and the second would only work on battery (not from any of the three different wall-warts the guy in the shop tried it with). Probably just a couple of Friday afternoon specials, but it put me off trying any more.
3. I love the drive side on mine - but I am driving it with a P bass with a hot pickup.
4. So you want to able to switch between clean bass, effected bass and a blend of the two?
5. Cheers
6. Shopping done - Axesrus (cheers Neep')- pots and knobs Studiospares ( a tip from my singer) - connectors Strings direct (natch) - strings
7. Another thing I've heard that might be an urban myth is that low output single coil pickups are less prone to picking up interference.
8. Does the virtual battery work with any power supply or do I have to go Gigrig?
9. I've heard that low output pickups also tend to sound brighter than the same model wound for high output. Don't know if it's true.
Matamp and BF are VERY different. If you want the whole Matamp/tube vibe, go for it with Matamp....im sure they will do you a deal on the amp and cabinet.
Since you posted this, I keep looking at the Matamp site and trying to convince myself I can justify the expense
I am very tempted to build a Bill Fitmaurice jack 12 or Jack 2x12. I have had the plans for a while but its cold in my garage
A J212 is a big beastie - about the same size as an Omni 15. I'd go 2 X J112 for portability.
12.
I've had trouble with mine. I can't find anything searching the EHX forums for blogger. I think I may have fried it anyway.
No mate! not good I looked up blogger, and apart from a few threads from people saying they'd got one, or wanted one and coudn't find one there wasn't anything. I searched on daisy chain and quite a few came up about other pedals that "can't" be daisy-chained. Most threads related to daisy-chaining these pedals resulting in a high-pitched whine, but not always. I've got a spare wall wart that came with a Digitech guitar multiFX which was bought for the wife, but she's never used it. I'll use that for the Bass Blogger and get a daisy chain for the other pedals. Might even stick the Digitech on the board too
13. Cheers mate.
Here we go. Case in point. Do less hearing about. Do more test driving and hear the things for yourself!
There's the problem: The two at the top of my list, I can't just go to a shop and audition. I could go on the travelling super twelve list (if there is a super twelve doing the rounds) but don't want to do that until I've got the head I want. Realistically I'm not going to get the Matamp as it will just give me GAS for a matching GT200.
15. Cheers mate, I didn't know EHX had their own forum. Off to have a look now

It might not (or indeed might) be the cab for the OP, but the more I hear about it, the more I think the BF 212 is the cab for me. Or the Matamp 2X12. Or...... etc etc. Bu88er!
17. Cheers Neep, I'll have a look at their site now.
18. Hi, After [s]years[/s] decades of having just a compressor and/or tuner, in my signal path, I've needed to add a few more goodies to my arsenal to help thicken up the sound when our sole guitarist goes off on a widdle fest. I now have - Bass -> Pitchblack -> CS3(modded) -> OC2 -> Bass Blogger -> Amp/DI I might add a loop pedal at some point so I can easily bring the OC2 and Blogger in at the same time. So I've got four pedals which might soon be 5 and it's time to start thinkng about a pedal board. I know the tuner and Bosss pedals are happy on a daisy chain power supply. The manual for the Blogger says it has to have own suppply. Is this true? What happens if it's daisy-chained? Cheers in advance, Nic
19. I don't do much on-line shopping, strings direct for (you guessed it) strings, but that's about it. Can ayone recomeend anywhere on-line that I'd be able to get most, if not all, of the following - 500k pots Knobs (metal P/bass/tele style) Strings 1/4" Neutrik jacks (straight) 1/4" right angeld jacks (smaller body than neutrik preferred)
20. I play both. Different tones and wotnot. I also find I favour one or the other depending on the bass. Bizarrely, pick for my Warwick and fingers for my Precision.
21. Indeed it was, you were posting as I was editing
22. I know there is at least one pwdal comp that will do the side chain. [s] I can't remeber off the top of my head which one it is[/s], but it isn't cheap. Edit for model: It's the FEA OptiFet
23. The ones from the 80's?
24. The Boss vocalist pedal is good. My singer got one for Christmas - harmonizer, looper, reverb, eq, dynamics etc etc.
25. A good while ago, someone (Crazykiwi?) recommended Bartolinis for a graphite necked bass I think.
