1. A bit off-topic but I've just managed to get 2 tickets for this years Lee Brilleaux Memorial Show in Canvey Island
 2. For Sale is my 2007 Fender US Vintage 62 Reissue Jazz Bass. This is already on Ebay as I completely forgot to put it on Basschat!! It weighs in at 4.2kg (or 5 Foot 9" for those of you still in imperial) and is a stunning example. It's just starting to "turn" colour in to a gorgeous yellowy white (don't you just love nitro !!) I can't find a mark on it apart from a couple of discolourations right by the nut where the bass had been hung on a wall hanger by the previous owner. It's strung with La Bella Deep Talkin flats and has just been fully serviced and set up by Trevor at Ripley Guitars for a rather painful amount of money! I've just taken ownership of a Fender Sting Reissue and the project I was intending to use this for has folded before it started sadly It doesn't come with the original case or candy (apart from the lead and hang tags). This truly is a gorgeous bass and if I could justify keeping it I would. I am looking for £900 for this beautiful bass and would rather a pick up or meet half way but I'm willing to post for cost. I am also happy to take money through Paypal if the buyer helps out with fees. I would consider a P/ex for a new Series Fender US P Bass 4 or 5 string (preferably Sunburst and rosewood) plus cash my way or a trade for a Rickenbacker 4003.

 4. For sale is a virtually new set of Light gauge (45, 65, 80, 100) D'Addario Half Round fitted to a Fender Jazz Bass for less than 10 minutes for sale or trade for a set of Flatwounds (preferably La Bellas or TI's) D'Addario Half Round bass strings are wound with pure nickel, then precision ground, leaving the outer surface smooth and "semi-flat," while retaining the flexibility of round wound strings. They retain roundwound brightness and sustain thanks to an exclusive "heat treating" process. Now Sold

 6. Just bought an immaculate Fender Sting Bass off of Chris and despite it being Christmas etc, he managed to get it to me within 2 days. I'm chuffed to bits with the bass and can't recommend him highly enough to deal with.
 7.
Sorry to be pedantic but the BT2 will fit Geddy Lee Sig! not BT3 otherwise I'd be buying it from you! Noir
You're absolutely right. I've corrected my original Ad
 8. Paul came over today to buy my G&G Fender reissue case. A pleasure to deal with and highly recommended. Thanks again Paul and Happy New Year to you and yours.
 9.
GK MB210 IMO, extremely light weight at 33lbs and sounds great, plenty of volume and a choice of matching lightweight extension cabs like my MBE115, cant go wrong
+1 I picked up one of these off Ebay a while back for £225. They're great quality combos and I use it instead of my Markbass/Epifani rig for rehearsals and small gigs. it's listed at 350w but sounds a great deal louder.

 14.
I did a thread on this a while back Nick (http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=103316&hl=stand+nitro) I have ended up with T-shirts on a Warwick Rockstand. The only ones that are 'guaranteed' to have non-reactive foam (as far as I can recall) are Hercules stands but I don't like the hanging ones (unstable in my view) and the portable gig one has nothing to prevent the bass tipping forwards
Thanks mate I'm going to save myself a lot of bother by just asking you everything in the first instance as it's generally you who gives me the answer anyway!! MODS- is it possible to get an "Ask Clarky" button on my profile?
 15. I've just got hold of a Jazz bass with a Nitro finish and wondered waht's the best stand for it. In the past, I've seen a few basses that have reacted to stands with foam on and wondered if anyone has any suggestions. Failing that, I'll just throw an old T-Shirt or something over the stand and use it like that.
 16. I'm looking for a decent Gig-bag for my 62 Reissue Jazz bass. The case that came with my Bass is too nice to use to transport the bass to and from gigs so is up for sale here : http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...p;#entry1058952 Having looked on Bass Direct's website, I am interested in finding out more about the Pro-tec an Mono gigbags Mark's currently selling and wonder if anyone is using either of them or has any experience with them. Or even better, loves them and is considering selling one!! Thanks for your help
 17. For sale is a BT8 Hipshot Bass Xtender (D-Tuner) for a new model Fender US Bass (2008 onwards). It's brand new and still in the original packaging. It's in chrome and is ight handed. I am looking for £40 plus 2 P&P for each of them (Selling for £75 in the Bass Gallery). Thanks for looking
 18.
Ahh. I hope this is here next week!
I'd be happy to hang on to it for you for a week or so
 19. For sale is a Gallien-Krueger Neo 212-II cab that is a few months old and surplus to requirements. I'll get some pics up tomorrow but it's in great condition and sounds wonderful (600w at 8 ohms and weighs 50lbs/28kgs!) Dimensions are 21"W, 25.8"H and 16" D. Now Sold
 20. My second deal with Col went as smoothly as the first. 100% competely reliable and a nice guy too. Highly recommended
 21.
singers!!
Yes! And one who's developing a rather large ego too. Don't know what's got in to him recently. He had the nerve to tell the guitarist last night that he was playing in the wrong key (he wasn't). I felt the need to remind him that the only key he had any knowledge of was the one to his front door
 22.
Blimey Nick, we must be in a recession and approaching Christmas. Thats a serious bargain. A new 2009 MIA P bass runs to about £900-odd these days so £1150 for a 34 year-old, lightweight US P bass has to be stonking good value. Hope someone bites soon mate
Thanks Clarky. I won't let it go for any lower but am willing to listen to sensible PX's for the right Jazz Bass BUMP- now on Ebay too for a premium. I'd be happy to take a Paypal payment for this if it helps (provided the fees are covered)
