The OP’s question is kind of dependant on the answer to ‘How good do you have to be to play a Fodera? If that could be quantified, then the OP’s question then becomes a valid one.

I can honestly say it has never occurred to me. I buy what I like and could care less whether anyone else thinks I’m good enough.

Funny you should say that, because I would have sworn they were already in. Perhaps they were nominated before and didn't make it. As legendary as they are though, only two studio albums 🤷‍♂️

I read somewhere that there is a desire by some to get it renamed to the Music Hall of Fame which would probably be more suitable. I doubt it will happen as Rock & Roll just sounds, well, more Rock & Roll 😀.

It's worth remembering for anyone who gives RHCP a hard time regarding Stadium Arcadium (whether its deserved or not - I'm remaining neutral) that the following album, I'm With You, was almost the same format. The 17 additional songs they recorded in those sessions were released separately from the album, but could well have been included. RHCP at their best, ripping the funk out of a high bpm tune, just doesn't get any better, but they can't all be like that. Rough with the smooth I say and more material is better than none. I've listened to Black Summer a few times today and it's definitely growing on me.

Apple Music shows it as 17 songs, so just one more than By The Way. Stadium has 28. I guess it depends how long the songs are, but on paper it looks in between the two, Arcadium light if you will 🤷‍♂️. We can but hope.

Live, which is where it really counts IMHO, the biggest area of concern is what comes out of the mouth of the lead singer.

I said goodbye to my Alembic today 🙁. Even as I was handing it over to the very nice UPS man, I had that knot or regret in my stomach. I know it's going to a very good home, but that doesn't make it any easier. Another regret is a Rickenbacker 4001 I had back in the 80's. It had issues that I wasn't knowledgable enough at the time to rectify. I miss the Stingrays I've sold recently, but I'm playing slimmer necked instruments now that my old hands are thanking me for. So all of the above would have been nice to keep, but not much point doing so if they're not being played.

There last place I played with a decibel meter was only recently on 22/1. It was on the back wall just to to the left of the drummer. I think the receiver was incorporated into the main box as most of them seem to be nowadays. The drummer hit his snare whilst we were setting up and it went fully into the red with a single strike. When we started playing it went as high as it could go and stayed there until we stopped. Clearly not switched on thankfully.
