  1. It’s also a pretty bad attitude to have to just bung it on a website with a poor description and make no effort to improve its condition to improve the chances of the sale. You’d have thought they’d offer some expertise and say “maybe if you did X, Y and Z you’d have a better chance of it moving” (ie getting a nicer fit on the neck etc)
  2. I have them in my Geddy Lee jazz and they sound amazing!
  3. New bucket list bass ordered. Potential 4-6 month wait until it arrives but hopefully worth it! Fender American Original ‘60s Precision in LPB.

Nice! I think I’ll be going mint ‘guard at some point 🙂

it should be done. If it's a vintage reissue It's a bit odd that the your Fender comes with tort. I blame tallkbass and their love of tort on everything!

@LukeFRC I too enjoy the tort guard 🤣

  4. Yup, Fender acquired Charvel in 2002!
  5. This is different enough to really stand out but also quite tame. I really like it!
  6. The Lambo Green 5 string... https://www.charvel.com/gear/shape/san-dimas-bass/pro-mod-san-dimas-bass-jj-v/2965079518 Yup!
  7. Yeah but I just always think of that as in the Road Worn series. Same with the JMJ signature. Just Road Worn series spec with some more specific features and a player’s name 🙂
  8. This looks like an American Vintage model, which has been updated as the current ‘American Original’ 🙂
  9. Pretty sure the only models/ranges with a nitro finish in the current range are; MIM Classic ‘60s Lacquer (there’s a non-lacquer version too sI you have to specifically choose this) MIM Road Worn American original series (MIA) Normally, the MIJ models don’t come in Nitro finish (there are some specials etc that did, but they’re difficult to get new) BUT, there is a company in Poland who refinish MIJ Fenders (stock and custom requests) in Nitro finishes of varying styles (NOS to heavy relic). I’ve played a few of their instruments and the quality of their work is STUNNING and would come in below £1000. Example here; https://restauracja-gitar.pl/portfolio-posts/fender-62-jazz-bass-nitro-relic3750zl-975/ Hope it helps!
  10. My local PMT has 0% finance up to 36 months. Might be a useful way to play with your budget 🙂
  11. Yes and no. Maybe we know if it’s shiny, but I just assumed the ‘red’ would be like the previous one but this appears to be sparkly, like Candy Apple Red. If so, it’ll be a tough decision!
  12. https://www.peachguitars.com/epiphone-sg-special-p-90-faded-pelham-blue.htm ooooo, this looks like the photo was from an ACTUAL instrument. If that is what ‘faded Pelham blue’ looks like, I’m in!
  13. It’ll be fine... honest... @CameronJ - the pictures on Peach guitars (who look like they actually have it, not just stock photos!), it’s shiny from the bottom horn etc
  14. It’s just the photo editing I think, they’ve tried to diffuse the light and you sometimes get that effect - like Andy said, well soon find out!
  15. I think that’s just the angle/lighting playing tricks. I don’t think Epiphone ever offered a matte finish on a Jack Casady so it’ll be weird if they start now with only one colour in the range!
  16. Nice to see the plastics are cream (not white!) and that Pelham Blue is niiiiiiiice!
  17. Yup, they are the UK distributor for Ibanez. Also absolutely useless, so not surprising that they didn’t spot the humour in this when submitting it!
  18. For £22 nee, it’s worth a try!
  19. It’s lovely! Combined with an octaver to create a nice wobbly synth tone 🙂
  20. This is super cool! must admit I’m in love with the UV300! Maybe one to add?
  21. These comments are getting a bit blue for my liking
  22. Unfortunately I don’t think they will be. Gibson only use nitro coats on Gibsons. Epiphones usually have poly finishes and most of the time they stay well clear of tinted yellow and it won’t naturally yellow with age either.
  23. I agree. It’s always hailed as a special or limited finish, but I think it’s one of the worst!
  24. Pelham Blue is typically a rip off Lake Placid Blue. I’d say neither of those pictures is accurate to what the Gibson/Epiphone Pelham Blue finishes normally look like in the flesh. Usually more like this https://www.premierguitar.com/articles/Epiphone_Announces_Limited_Edition_TV_Pelham_Blue_Collection
