1. OK, so they are generally trending cheaper. But, £55 retail price for a 5 set quoted by Amazon is the price from 8 years ago...
2. Hi, I spotted sets of Elixir String on Amazon. I bought a 5 string set 45-130 for £35.89 (free delivery), which I found was good value for a top-of-the-range 5 string set. Amazon quote a 36% discount on those strings (£20 off for a 5 string set). I don't believe the "real price" is £55 as claimed by amazon, but I still believe that's good value. I recall "back in the days" Elixir came at above £40, for a 4 string set. Based on your experience with Elixir, do think they are now getting cheaper than they used to be?
3. I owned a SWR Son of Bertha and the original speaker died. I replaced it with a Kappalite 3015LF. I loved the result. Not as good as the original SWR. But for the price, it was worth every penny.
4. hmm. the thought of taking a second mortgage for a MIM Fender is very tempting...
5. One comment about sexy. When Kate Moss wears a Top Shop tee shirt and skinny jeans. She is so sexy! Throw anything at Kate Moss and the result will be beautiful. When Scott plays a blues scale, a 9th and a 6th, it is soooooo sexy. I bet Scott can take any scale/pattern and make something beautiful out of it. I really dig the feel and the choice of notes in this video.
6. I got one quiet one for 15 years now, I does not bother me. Being a Londoner, there's always another noise annoying me, like my neighbours's TV. I am pretty serious about ear protection. I bring my ER20 to reheasal and when I go see live music. I find I keep my focus longer when I rehearse with protection as I ears do not get tired. So, it somewhat indirectly make me a better musician.
7. so upsetting. I hope they rot in hell .
8. Maplin have a wide seletion : http://www.maplin.co.uk/stick-on-feet-1840 I use them.
9. You can't go wrong with that rig. Sounds like you are ready to make some serious noise.
10. All sold , Dear Admins could you please remove thread? Many thanks.
11.
MB1. Your still gonna need to add an acceptable basschat price here! 99p eBay start price is not acceptable
How can I predict the price it's gonna reach? I am not sure I follow you. The guidelines for the sale forum say that listing items on eBay is OK provided items failed to sell for a while. That's the case here.
12. no success since March... I am resorting to eBay listing... 99p start price BOSS AW-3...........................................Auto Wah..............................................................................................Auctioned on Ebay 99p http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BOSS-AW-3-Autowah-effect-pedal-for-guitar-and-bass-/130744451896?pt=UK_Guitar_Accessories&hash=item1e70fa0338 Sonnus B2M..........................................Audio to MIDI interface ........................................................................Auctioned on Ebay 99p http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sonuus-B2M-Bass-To-Midi-Converter-/130744454610?pt=Midi_Controllers&hash=item1e70fa0dd2
13.
The Metro's are overpriced IMO. £2000 for a pretty standard 5 string Jazz?!
They are more than pretty Jazz models. The craftsmanship is amazing on these basses and they sound fantastic. And now that the price of standard basses is going to the roof, I will add "great value" for Sadowskys.
14. I have a Squier Afinity telecaster (made in china) that I'm going to offload. It's in excellent condition as it has spent all its life on a wall collecting dust. It sounds very good for a budget guitar. Gimme a shout if you are interested.
15. Arrgggg, I have other commitments in September.... too short notice. Otherwise, I would most definitely do it. The price is very affordable, given it's a four day workshop.
16. I love 4x10s. Always have. Always will. The one thing that trouble me with a 4x10 is picking the impedance. I go for 8 ohms in 2x10 and 1x15, so that I can restack them to a 4 Ohms, in any combinations, to include another cab at the venue, etc... With 4x10, I dunno if a 8 Ohms is a good idea, to leave room for another 8 Ohms cab. Or if I should go with 4 Ohms directly, since I have almost never had to add anything to a 4x10. I am conflicted, I know...
17. It's 1 U tall and got 2 screws on each side. So, it would work with a rack tray. Or simply fit if you have 1U gap in your rack and some sticky tape.
18. The VC3 is not rack-mountable... unless you dare to drill the sides and try to fit some rack ears
19. The only place I could find some : http://www.guitarpartsresource.com/middle_bass.htm I used them on my EMG preamp at the time coz I did not like the EMG pots. Not sure they fit a John Eastman preamp.
