@Hellzero The thread about the crossover, oddly enough from @neepheid, is here https://www.billfitzmaurice.info/forum/viewtopic.php?t=26505 I believe that the view from Bill was that nothing else is needed for his design apart from the resistor. I'm no expert here, hence this thread Certainly the box as it came to me had nothing more complicated than a square resistor as shown in the picture. It may well be that it should have had something more complicated in place and has never worked, but given the (high) quality of the build. I suspect it has worked properly in the past. I have nothing to back this up, but would love to get this small cab working to its full potential. @bertbass Thanks for this. That phrase "the resistor is there to prevent ultrasonic oscillations" rings a bell as I have read that in Bills forum as I've been investigating this further. I appreciate all the help, I'll try and work out what to do next. Thanks Rob

I remember many years ago a mate of mine had a posh but very right-on girlfriend. He was a proper midlander, but kind of skinny and not at all hard... And I lost count of the amount of times he'd get punched because she'd taken exception to some cokernee geeza effin and c-in at the bar... It normally went: Geez to his mate: Cor what a F-in C he is! She, next to Geez at bar: You do realise that that's a term that's highly offensive to women and I want you to stop using it! Geez: Or f-in what, you C? Partner to She: C'mon Vix me duck, let's go! Geez punches partner in face.

Yep, this set goes back to the Mk V, and there are some significant differences between it and the Mk IV. Thank you for sending those though! I've downloaded them and I'll bet there will be anywhere old tank added to the pile within the year, 😁. 👍

If you really lose the plot, just turn your volume down and dance about. Nobody will notice they can't hear you. I've done it a few times 😄

Now I understand why there's no filter in this @Bill Fitzmaurice design... Here are the specs of this Goldwood GT-1016 tweeter: Power handling: 50 watts RMS/75 watts max * Frequency response: 3,500-27,000 Hz * SPL: 94 dB * Manufacturer model number: GT-1016 * Dimensions: A: 5-3/4", B: 2-3/4", C: 2".

Appreciate the reply! I'll check with the custom shop how much a passive conversion would cost. -

Thanks so much for the reply! So the built-in preamp is probably fine and I should just get some shielding in the cavities to reduce 50/60hz hum? -

prowla started following Trace Elliot Mk IV, User Manual?...

I don't think it was an AH150, as that had quite a shallow depth. Ah - the pics show it has a UV tube too, so that rules it out anyway.
