Kev Posted June 1, 2010 Share Posted June 1, 2010 Briefly played one at Bass Direct a couple of weeks ago, its quite amazing how i could pick up the bass and play without looking with those frets. velvetkevorkian Posted June 1, 2010 Share Posted June 1, 2010 No. They're listed as using the "Novax fanned fret system"- Novax do/did (not sure if its still valid) have a patent on a method of laying out the frets IIRC but fanned fret instruments have been around for quite a long time. Interesingly Sei offer a fanned fret option and I know somewhere around here there's a Shuker fanned fretted bass build being documented.
