One of my Westone Rail Basses is looking for a new home.

Both of them are listed in Gear Porn, under Westone, details
about them are listed there.
Very rarely come up for sale - I was after one for ages after
I saw one being gigged by a prog rock band. Took me ages
to find one and then as a follow up to my enquiries. . . another
one came up for grabs!! :)
The only one I have seen recently (I think someone on here
pointed it out) was in Australia!! See pic.

I have lifted pics of mine from Gear Porn but I can get better ones.

This one shows the body of the one for sale

This one shows the nut.

It is in very good order, considering it's years. Bit of paint flaking
on the "Westone" cover but the rest is fine.

If you search Yahoo or Google "Westone Rail Bass" there is quite
a lot of info.
Looking for £350.00, delivered in most of the UK - any extremes may
be a little more. £335.00 if you want to arrange collection.
Happy with a good old fashioned cheque, Postal order or PayPal.

Perhaps. . . . . . interested in a part trade, depends on what is offered.

Trying to get more pics here - hope this works.

What a bizarre instrument!! I can honestly say that I've NEVER seen one of those before! I can see it fitting in very well in a prog band though!!

I like it! What a brilliant idea to move the pick-up around!! Inspired. :)
Might bolt it (carefully) onto a hack guitar and create a twin
neck with it, if no one feels like giving it a loving home. :)

That's like saying, "Give the kitty a loving home or he's going in the river." If only I could afford to save the Westone kitty at the moment...

Yeecccchhhh. The only way this thing should be bastardised is by defretting it and melding it with its Rail twin. Double-neck Rail, one fretted, one fretless. Sorted.

Morning all.
It would seem a lot are interested in the "Kitty" "Westone"
but no one is up for a rescue bid! :)
So, if nothing happens by Wednesday - Kitty Gets it!!

Seriously, if no one fancies it/can run to it, I will not bump it again and perhaps
take some really good pics of "The Rail" and post them in Gear Porn, so you
can drool over them.
While you are doing so, just think of poor old Kitty Westone . . . . . Lonely, in a
dark room!

If I get round to Twin Necking it, I will post pics - I am warming to the idea.

Hi. Not hard to say but subjective. I have all sorts of things to match it against
but to say it is like a Jazz, EBO, Precision, Status, Ric is sort of wide of the mark.
I know you are a big fan of the T-40, as am I - how would you sum that up? :)
All I can say is, it is tiny, compared to a T-40, shorter scale - fast - with a whole
load of sounds. As I said in one of my posts, it teaches you how important the
position of a pick-up is.
Same PUP, different position LOTS of different sounds.
As a gigging instrument, rare as hens teeth.

Cheers.
