Tapping piece?

How about a challenge and pick a piece yourself? Something like a piano / keyboard thang, that you can split the left and right hand with. A pop song?

I was messing about with Chasing Cars by that ther' Snow Patrol outfit, the otherday. A well known tune with 3 simplistic parts (bass, melody and the little guitar part).. I didn't spend a great deal of time on it, but could be effective tapped.

Oh yes! I remember George signing up to Bassworld ages ago, after I dropped him a mail. Nice playing!

You could look in to Stuart Hamm, perhaps. I wonder how many bassists have tried Linus & Lucy since he did it years ago? Here's one example: http://ie.youtube.com/watch?v=ldfZqfbTZbo

(No, it's not me, my Tune bass is only a 4-string)

Thats very cool...

I ended up writing a 6-7 minute piece last night anyways, simple but melodic which I quite like.

I've taken to the idea of transcribing two parts from a song or something, I was thinking of something like Shape of my Heart by Sting, what d'ya think?

i'm not normally a fan of tapping, but that's really nice. it's restrained...not like the showy stuff people usually do.
