Not many peoples Idea of true funk of course, but Talking Heads were [i]sooooo[/i] funky, and Tina & Chris (Frantz) drove them along with some very simple but effective grooves. In fact it was listening to Tina that made me realize that simple basslines, with lots of space, can be much more powerful than a lot of twidly fiddly stuff.
