If you can find the [url="http://www.lesclaypool.com/discography/sausage/"]Sausage[/url] album [i]Riddles Are Abound Tonight[/i], jump on it - it was kind of a reunion of the original Primus, stripped down to basics and all the better for it IMHO. It is not UK so probably not very good for buying, but there is always a wealth on information on the albums on there, including who played what. I find it very useful when you buy a CD which doesn't say in the sleeve! Huw Posted October 2, 2007 Share Posted October 2, 2007 (edited) I love Les. Primus are awesome, but even I find some of the albums a little hit and miss. That said, I hated The Brown Album the first time I heard it but I love it, now. I really recommend the Oysterhead album he did with Stewart Copeland and Trey Anastasio, though. It's one of my favourite albums ever. Trey's voice on the first track sounds like Winnie the Pooh, as an extra bonus. cheddatom Posted October 2, 2007 Share Posted October 2, 2007 I like most of Les' work. There are some tracks that i'll skip, but they tend to change each time I listen to each album. I really like oysterhead. Something interesting I found with Primus was that I loved their original (not first, unusual) sound on the Brown album etc. Then Antipop seemed miles away from that, sound wise, but I loved that sound too! I thought it sounded quite commercial and thought they should have gone for more exposure for Antipop, but I guess that would have been rather ironic! I have The Brown Album and Frizzle Fry but I haven't got into them yet - the latter is particularly annoying on the guitar front... Les Claypool's singing gives me hope!
