This is one of me doing a Zappa number .. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=focGv64Wj0A

I hardly ever play with a pick but you kind of have to to get Scott Thunes parts :)
Great playing, great sound. Great!

Thanks Wil :) POD X3 Live and the natural Wick growl.

There's some really great playing on here as craigmartini said. I'm a bit in awe of how he makes something that challenging look so effortless, on stage too. Great stage presence!

That and Peg are my fave tunes on Aja, but they're all marvellous. I'm going to have to check you lot out if you play in London!

Cheers.
Nice choice of tunes Linus and played very well,I was quite a biggish fan of Simple Minds in the 80's so it was good to hear stuff taken off NGD on bass which is quite a rarety to see and hear these days.
And for Christ sake mate just how many guitars do you own,I mean you have got the top two there in my opinion having a Jazz and a Stingray........ :)
HAHAHA well to be honest, a ot of those basses have been sold now. The Lakland and Fender MIM Jazz are long gone. I kind of miss the Fender as it had such a wonderful neck and feel but the Lakland was all wrong in my hands. My signature shows what I have at the moment. The Stingray is amazing but I just can't get a good tone out of it. Maybe one day I'll get it sussed.

Thanks also for the nice comments. I love Simple Minds and Derek Forbes bass playing. Great stuff.

I think it's fair to say we have some seriously good players on this forum! So it's only fair that my mediocre offerings reflect the many of us who would otherwise be too scared to post. I play Americana so it's fair to say the root, the fifth and the odd little run are covered here. I don't come in for nearly a minute so please feel free to grab a quick drink or go for a loo break! The backline was provided so it's not *my* exact tone but I managed to get what I could out of the Laney combo. This line up had only managed 2 full rehearsals but I think it has a good vibe to it. Just a shame the bunting kills our bad boy rockers image...
