Anyone knows where I could some early Jamiroquai (emergency on planet earth - travelling without moving) bass tabs? I don't think there is an official bass booklet (Real shame, Stu Zender's lines are great). It's for my sister, I can't be arsed transcripting them :) IIRC, there is a very hard-to-find collection of popular transcripted Jamoriquai songs, I can't find any reference on the net (only crappy bass tab websites).

[quote name='Beedster' post='584687' date='Aug 29 2009, 07:20 PM']Stuart Clayton on here has two great books of JK transcriptions, extremely well done and well worth the investment. Either PM him or go to www.basslinepublishing.com. I assume they're stil in print

Errr..... no i don't!!! You're thinking of Simon Merrick! He published a couple of Jamiroquai transcription books a few years ago but I believe they are now out of print!!

However, Bassline Publishing (my company) will soon be releasing a Brand New Heavies bass book.

Cheers

I agree, Simon Merrick's site is awesome, with super transcriptions. Bassmasta isn't too shabby either, certainly a good starting point.

Also, Bass player magaizine did a transcription of Virtual insanity and I think maybe bass guitar magazine did Emergency on planet earth and someone else did Alright. Got copies somewhere I think.

Good luck

Send Simon an e-mail or PM to see if he has plans to re-publish them?

It's quite ridiculous isn't it. Jamiroquai's still popular, The bass lines are great, they'd make a killing. I would get transcriptions of Emergency... / Travelling... / High Times no questions asked.

Jamiroquai isn't particularly hard to transcribe either. Drums are pretty simple, no guitar solo...

J.K.'s ego in the way? His wallet?
