As the title says, I'm after a super small and lightweight rig for an acoustic trio (no drums). Thinking of getting a BF One10, and wondering what head you use with it? Was thinking of a tonehammer 350 or a Warwick Gnome I Pro?

Anything reasonably decent will do the job. A pal uses an Elf with a BF110 and it works well. Why not take the 110 shopping and try a few? It weighs little, so no great effort required in carrying it. If you already have a higher powered lightweight head, there's nothing wrong with using it with the 110 and keeping the volume level sensible.

I've got two lil' barefaced one10s. For gigs I'll use a TC Electronic BH550 up top, sounds pretty good and cuts through the twin guitars and drums of our heavy rock band.

I've also got the BH250 for smaller gigs/rehearsal. Great lightweight amp, spectra comp toneprint sounds great on both, built in tuner and I use it with headphones and the aux lead for home practise.

I've seen the BH250s on the marketplace here for very reasonable prices, looks slightly bigger than a TE elf

I've actually got 4 x One10's. I used 2 with the TH500 last week in a Rock n Roll/Blues band and it sounded very good. Next week, in the cover band, I was thinking of trying out 3 x One10's and my Aguilar AG700, at 2.67ohms.

I reckon that will be a tasty rig.

When I had a pair of them I used one of these as I fancied on the day

Mark Bass (various ones)

Ashdown RM800 Evo 2

Tech21 VT500

They all had qualities that I liked - but when I got a One10T with a tweeter I found that all 3 were much better. The Tweeter just allowed a little more crispness when needed, and of course could be turned off / re-EQ'd as needed.

I have a pair, but sometimes just use one on it's own. I found one cab to be underpowered with just an Elf (my backup amp), even with a reasonably restrained jazz outfit. It managed, but it was on the edge of capability. My head of choice with the One10's is a GK Legacy 800. Great with one cab, amazing with two.

I tested an EBS Reidmar 750 through a One10 last week, and that was great too, although I still prefer my GKs.
