At that price, I doubt you would have any regrets. I actually like that finish! I wonder if the neck pocket would fit a standard fender jazz neck?

From memory, I don't think when I was starting bass in the mid 90s there was much on offer below £200 😀 Crazy what is available now!

A Chinese made Roasted Jazz neck alone would cost you more than that. To be able to get a hand stained natural Ash jazz for that is just giving them away. It's the old adage of 'stack em high, sell em cheap'. Even if the pickups are hot garbage, you can replace them with some nice Fender Pure Vintage 66s for just over £100, thusly more than doubling the value of the bass, he said.

I've just ordered one too - it'll be another affordable bass to sell to a pupil when needed. I just noticed the RRP is usually £245!

damn, out of stock

Still I can wait 10 days

I hope it's not too heavy

If mine is as heavy as a Boat Anchor, I'll be sure to send it to you, but with a special note to the courier saying to put it down carefully - may create Sink Holes!

I bought this blue Pbass during Black Friday for 65€. Shielded the cavities (very poorly cut inside) and put some ETB92 Tapewounds i rescued from a long gone bass and it sounds and plays wonderfully..

Had a look at the 5-strings. Js and Ps around the same price, £160-170. One peculiarity - normal price of B-stock is £75 less than mint, however the B-stock discount is only £5 for the sale instruments. I'd be very tempted at < £100 even though I'd have to remove the paint, but sadly (or perhaps happily, seeing as I'm trying to reduce the herd) they're £172.

I've been tempted. For £63 with the discount code, it seems rude not to, especially when I sold a guitar recently and there's another bass I've been looking to sell! Let's see what turns up. Should be here on the 2nd.

wow how did you get it for £63? I just went on site via link and with the discount code it came to £151. I’m always late to the party 🙈

Looks like it went back up to normal price after it sold out. It was showing as £70, so the code took it down to £63.

Great find. Need to find a shop with great deals on strings. This site has some on Dunlop and sadowsky, looking for ghs and la bella also

No, no, it has nothing at all to do with the fact that my American Professional Classic Precision has been delayed by some damned inconvenience called Christmas and there being no one at the Gallery who is capable of taking it to a Post Office or Courier and actually send it to me, or something similar. Obviously the Gallery folks don't have arms.

No, no, no...  What's that you say? GAS you say? Naaah, none of that here...

But in all seriousness, I just want to see how much bass you can get for £63. Excellent tip-off, Michael :)

You may recall that earlier this year I took delivery of a Fazley "Hot Rod" bass.

It was £84 at the time I bought it, and I was thoroughly impressed with it, especially considering how little it cost.  It has of course since been modified - if my experience is anything to go by, expect comically bad pickups.  Well, they've got to save money somewhere.  Thankfully that's easily fixed for not too much scratch if you go to Warman or Tonerider and the likes.  I stuck a Tonerider Duke in mine and it's a fantastic bass.  I love playing it live, so simple, just play the damn thing, it's got naff all controls anyway.

yep Toneriders are excellent. Pots easy enough to change etc

I can fret level now, so should be all good really
