1980's Aria RSB 5 string £400

I had the 4 string, and I loved it at the time.

One of those was the very first 5er I ever saw/played, in Denmark Street Rose-Morris, probably 1985. I had the 4 string RSB Deluxe 2, and wondered if I should've waited & got the 5 instead!

 

That looks in great condition for a 40 year old bass and that's a very good price, considering how few of these you see.

The bass aside, I'd be very wary about buying from any trader called "Fair Deal" anything.

 

I mean, deal is quite a pale wood but this is obviously red...

The first lot of five strings like this and the BB5000 seemed to have really skinny string spacing!

Yoour joke apart, I believe that Fair Deal Music are an established shop in Birmingham, with decent reviews.

Some of the staff have come via Musical Exchanges and PMT. I was in there very recently - bought a second-hand GK MB150 combo which had the speaker cone disintegrate on first proper use, and they were very good about seeing if it could be repaired (the 12" driver is now unobtainable and substitutes don't work so well) and refunding me when it couldn't.
