three Posted September 15 Posted September 15 I have no real detail or further information but just saw a 'we're back' banner on the Hiscox site. The company now appears to be operating/trading our of Poland, at least that's where enquiries are directed. Proudly Hand-Made in England could become Proudly Hand-Made in Poland. According to the banner, shipping is scheduled to re-start in late September: https://hiscoxcases.com 3 Quote
hiram.k.hackenbacker Posted September 15 Posted September 15 (edited) I was chatting with Jon Shuker about this the other day. He usually ships his basses in Hiscox cases and their absence has caused a few issues and a lot of head scratching. Their re-appearance on the scene is a great relief to him. I think he is expecting delivery in early November. Edited September 16 by hiram.k.hackenbacker 2 Quote
Mrbigstuff Posted September 15 Posted September 15 More info about the new manufacturer in here: Quote
Hutton Posted September 16 Posted September 16 I am delighted to hear this news. I just hope the re-launched product is going to be as good as the U.K. case. I think I can remember Hiscox saying that they weren’t going to have cases built outwith the U.K. as they wouldn’t compromise on quality. I’m assuming they are happy with the new product as being on a par with the original cases. Quote
LeftyJ Posted September 17 Posted September 17 Now I'm confused. Is this operation out of Poland the temporary one to supply their luthier / business customers while they're looking for a new suppliuer, or is there genuinely a new Polish operation that's here to stay? It sounds like they're currently only supplying to guitar manufacturers, but will restart sales to private customers again in October. Quote
