Messy or not, what's on your (music) work desk right now?

Was just taking a pic to reply to a thread mentioning a Zoom B3 and thought it might be of interest to see people's desks with all the good and bad on it, the cool things, the mundane things, the choice of things.....so here's mine 😁.  I've taken over the front room bay window with my bass gear and my wife has let me, just about get on with it, but she cringes when we have non-musician visitors.🫣🤔😁

 

So right now, take a pic and share your desk!

Wouldn't the vast majority of us have messy music desks? Mine is. Go on mate, you can do it. 😁

I have a feeling I'm the winner.

 

 

The actual area I generally use for a workbench is the bit of the keyboard drawer between the mouse mat and the edge, although I do occasionally move the keyboard to give me a bit more room. The settee to the right is a two-seater submerged to the same level all the way along. It looks very slightly messier than normal because Mrs Zero's watch is sitting on the keyboard being charged.

I started a clear out o few days ago . Then the heatwave got out of hand again midweek ….🥵!

The clear out started with me having a fiight with the rather large tv and soundbar boxes , which were purchased earlier this year .

I purchased a Mac mini yesterday , which is connected to the tv in my front room. The idea now is to transfer the stuff from my 2017 iMac onto that !

I may purchase a MacBook possibky  on Black Friday / Christmas so that in theory, I have 2 places to record my GarageBand efforts when I get inspired / not being lazy …

I guess I have to be relatively tidy, as I'm working in a very small space. (There's a Skoda Superb Estate outside with a full boot, too!)

Mine is about to get reduced - Sub Zero is about to move out (about time, he's 29) and I'm reclaiming his bedroom which was formerly my music and computer room. Then I'll have somewhere to put various pieces of music making and recording equipment that I've bought but have had nowhere to set up.

This workspace is shared with my day job where I do graphic design for packaging hence the rather tidy nature of everything. 

 

Most of my programming is done with the mouse and QWERTY keyboard and the guitars, basses and controller keyboards normally only come out when I am actually doing recording for the purposes of making something for release to the public.
