pantherairsoft Posted Monday at 14:22 Posted Monday at 14:22 About 30 mins a day, plus the odd hour at the weekend if I'm lucky. That said, by 'practicing', I'm guessing you mean 'getting better at playing bass', where as for me, practising is 'twidding knobs on effects pedals to craft new sounds'. Quote
Bassbooksbikes Posted Monday at 15:47 Author Posted Monday at 15:47 Yes you are right, as a beginner, I equate practice as a means to get better. 1 Quote

Reggaebass Posted Monday at 16:27 Posted Monday at 16:27 What I’ve learned is long practice sessions don’t really work for me, I don’t tend to absorb it all, whereas if I do 1 - 2 hours I remember everything, also if I can’t quite get something like a tricky Bassline, I always take a break then come back to it , and more often than not I get it straight away , I used to end up noodling for hours but now I make notes of what to focus on 1 Quote

Lozz196 Posted yesterday at 08:28 Posted yesterday at 08:28 I play when I feel like it, some weeks that might be every day, others may only be once or twice. Only differences to that are if I have a gig, where I`ll go through the set a couple of times in the week of the gig, or if learning a song. I do try to play at least once a week though, I find it very therapeutic just playing along to songs on YouTube. 2 Quote
