Darkglass listens to user feedback and requests. I hope they line it up in the future. For me, I'm hoping they would add a nice moog block and a 1073 preamp. what do you think the plan is with 3rd party blocks? If I were Darkglass it almost would make sense to focus on the drives and comp (which Darkglass are known for) and let others develop the other stuff? Quote
jwood662 Posted yesterday at 17:46 Posted yesterday at 17:46 Reckon so, I can’t see them having the bandwidth to do everything people might want from scratch so hopefully they have an mxr/boss/ehx deal lined up or in progress. You would have thought that they have software versions of their own pedals already that will be easily portable. Boss definitely do, just a question of whether they want to play ball I guess. But yeah, dirt pedals are low hanging fruit as they are pretty simple circuits and gives people some different and classic options to the dg ones. Shows they are good on the updates so that’s a win win. looking forward to updating and trying the muff in particular! Quote

I doubt it would be boss/ehx/Mxr as frankly if they wanted too they could bring their own anagram type unit to market - and they aren’t going to undercut their own products. I imagine it will be things like is it the Valhalla reverb where a plug-in can find a new audience and compete with something like blackhole Quote
MichaelDean Posted yesterday at 20:27 Posted yesterday at 20:27 Looks like there's a new software version 1.5 with more distortions. I really want to check one of these out. @LukeFRC a Valhalla plugin would be insane! I'd love something like that. A guitarist in an old band used to loop everything live and ran Valhalla. It was a huge swirling beast! 2 Quote

The Anagram has/will have plugin support, and Boss already have a plugin suite of their most popular pedals available to purchase. There may eventually be a way that a user can purchase the Boss plugin to run on the Anagram, or they can work together to integrate it as a paid addon. 1 Quote
Greg Edwards69 Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Darkglass have released a video demonstrating the new blocks. I have to say, the Sansamp and Big Muff sound great. 2 Quote

Me too! I also like the Arc Dreamer block. The Boss OD one is too harsh for me even at low gain setting Quote

Yeah it’s pretty spot on, just don’t have a use for it for the stuff I play. I like the PiRate muff! Feels and sounds organic. I like it better than duality fuzz. I can go pure chaos or something synthy. I wonder what’s next. I hope they optimise bank switching so there’s no lag. Also a better darkglass suite where you can arrange and set your chain there like Helix editor. Quote

A subscription model or one off software purchase of a pedal with near 100% margin and no possibility of you selling on the second hand market thus depriving them of another sale? They’d bite your hand off to offer it on any platform. If someone at boss hasn’t already started thinking they’re a software company that also makes hardware rather than a hardware company that also makes software I’d be surprised. Another great example is Microsoft developing for PlayStation because they’re more interested in selling software than shifting Xboxes. I think the main obstacle to them putting this in place, boss or for other plugin creators, is going to be developing a robust delivery method as that would take a hell of a lot of dev work in terms of payment processing and authentication etc - so suspect it may be some time off still! Also, yes agreed with some other commenters, the muff and sansamp sound great and are very accurate. Tube screamer is a bit meh though… Quote
